I agree with spatel7, I hope that the turning point of the manga comes soon and that they start the actual Romantic side of the story. The story is missing the basic romantic comedy aspect of it and quite frankly I have started to loose interest in it. As for who he will end up with I believe that he will end up with either Nagi or Maria, although my personal choice is Hinagiku since they both are the most compatible with each other.

It'll be Nagi if there's an ending, although I assure you that Hinagiku will get a large number of moments in the spotlight. Starting with volume 8, she gets a lot of focus due to her popularity.
Note: This comes beyond volume 8 (I've read up to current in Japanese with the aid of my dictionaries):
Spoiler (highlight to view) The story does start focusing more on the romance angle. There are still nonsense chapters, of course (wouldn't be Hayate without 'em), but there's a huge Hinagiku arc that goes through volume 10 (or maybe 11, I honestly don't remember), and still doesn't totally resolve anything.

I think Hinagiku or Maria (I voted hinagiku), Nagi would be impossible because, he is 17 and she is 14. and loli love isn't good.

I voted for Hinagiku because their chemistry is just sweet and as some said they are most compatible. But then again it'll probably end with Nagi since she IS the main heroine... if it ever ends.
Hate it when series that have a romance tag in them but dont even develop any romance until you reach 3/4 of the manga.

This is probably the only manga ever where there are conflicting pairings. Usually I either like 1 girl in the harem or I like none of them.
Nagi is awesome, and I feel like I want to see her be happy, but she doesn't really know the real "him" at all. Hinagiku and Hayate's personalities are ridiculously compatible, but as of the chapter I'm currently on (51, just started to read)... I'm not sure if there would be any special feature to their relationship other than personality compatibility. Maria, you can tell she's missed out a lot in life, and I'd be interested to see how a relationship between her and Hayate would proceed. I'm interested in seeing more sides of her in any case, honestly...
Well, those are the 3 who I seriously wouldn't mind seeing one of. Although at this stage, Nagi is impossible. Ayumu is a joke IMO... She's funny, but she doesn't really know Hayate, she just has a random crush. Isumi's personality isn't very compatible, and there's no real basis for her and Hayate.
Right now, I'd say that Nagi should develop more so that she can become a character who can stand on her own. Maria and Hinagiku, if they can get some quality time with Hayate, could become serious. Right now I'd lean toward Hinagiku since that's who Hayate seems like he'd be most happy with.
