Quote from lynzajw Quote from kaerfehtdeelb Quote from lynzajw Same. Engrish just kills the original Beck OST, I think. i actually liked the engrish version of beck It's not that I don't like his voice. I just cringe every time I hear the words being slaughtered. Same here. I do like the Maho version of Moon on the Water though.

I kinda like listening to Aqua. I listen to "Barbie Girl" and "Candyman" frequently. I also kinda like Linkin Park (in their old days), Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Vanilla Ice, Jessica & Ashlee Simpson, Maroon 5, every disco artist there is, etc.

bands/artists that i'm ashamed/concerned of talking about differs to whom i am with... If i am hanging with my male friends, of course i would be ashamed of talking about artists like the backstreet boys or any other boy bands from the 90's because all of them are rock die hards haha. But when i'm with my female friends, i surely can't talk to them about bands like anberlin, search the city, nevertheless or the like

Quote from StarAngel125 I also kinda like Linkin Park (in their old days) No need to feel ashamed of Linkin Park.
Anyway, the only one I'm ashamed to like is Hillary Duff (?). Or maybe it was someone else. My sister made me listen to one song, and it was a good tune (singing voice could have been better). The reason why I'm ashamed of liking that song is that I hate the singer, because her roles on tv is just plain ditzy and stupid. I can't stand that type of role. Besides that one song, I'm never ashamed to like a song. My tastes may not be the same as others, but taste in music is subjective.

Quote from ahoaho Diana Ross is actually Soul and R&B. Disco is stuff like The Village People and The Captain and Teneil.
Diana Ross is usually Soul and R&B... after all she has been a Motown/Supremes for a while. NONETHELESS ! I would still classify diana (the album) as disco/funk (come on, Nile Rodgers from Chic ! How could it possibly be without disco ?). Just before this album, she was even more disco (in my opinion).
Found some more : "Toxic" from Britney Spears ; Gerry Rafferty .

Right Said Fred, Eminem, Cascada, Aqua, Tanya Tucker, Shania Twain, Justin Timberlake, Prozaac, and seconded Toxic by Brittany Spears.
And who am I kidding? These are some damn good artists. "Ashamed"? Pft.

Don't laugh, but I like the Spice Girls. I think I still know the "dance steps" to their songs.
Not really ashamed though XD
