Whats next mangafox and mangareader?
today really is a sad day.the funny thing is i doubt sales are gong to increase. more likely people will download from torrents and scanlation groups direct.

first the censoring issue and now this. 2010 is officially a depressing year.
The world-cup didn't go how i wanted and now online readers are closing.
The next thing you know it would be anime sites.

I was thinking that it would be hard to say goodbye ... and I was right - it is hard.

Yet I consider myself fortunate to have met such a special site ... a site that we care so much about ... that it makes saying goodbye very hard!

As we say goodbye, we remind ourselves that farewells are not forever, nor are they the end. They are simply words to say that we will miss you dearly and that we will remember you fondly.

Although we may be separated by time and distance in the interim, nothing will diminish the important role that you have and always will play in our lives.

R.I.P ONEMANGA and MANGATOSHOKAN

and hello Manhwatoshokan.

I hope the don't close mangatraders. I know, that a lot of scanlators don't like them, but there are loads of manga, that you can't get elsewhere (especially the older scanlations). I try to download my manga from the scanlators if possible, but sometimes it's not...

you WILL most likely make a mistake the first time you ask for a packet from an xdcc bot (typos, unneeded spaces, forgetting "#", etc). i should also inform you that Lurk is currently offline, due to server issues. Donations are much appreciated to help fix this.

EDIT: you might also need to change some of the IRC settings to accept files from these bots, as i did back in '04-'05. wasn't covered in the guide, and i'm not aware of what this sysreset is. a simple google-fu on "how to download manga on irc" should suffice i believe

Do they have a "legal" manga viewing site? o_O

Well, the plus side is that you got one week left to continue your old hobbies.

i wouldn't be to be honest i would have preferred mangafox and mangahut to go and onemanga and mangatoshokan to stay.
