I used to love Bleach, but it got repetitive with fights lasting several chapters, and multi-character fights stretching into months. The plot didn;t seem to be going anywhere, and Ichigo started to irritate me with his dense personality. I guess I got bored, or discovered better manga. Bleach was one of the first manga I ever read, so when it finally ends I will read it again, but for now it's been over 2 years since I read a chapter and I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

You are missing something....more plot and action going nowhere and Ichigo being himself!

I started to lose interest in Bleach around the Hueco Mundo and Orihime kidnapping arc. I just felt like, "Are we really going to have another arc about Ichigo going through hell and back to save one of his friends?"

I know a lot of people complain about the Soul Society arc, but I thought it was ok. But the Hueco Mundo arc was just a repeat of that, and it was done 10 times worse. Was it a year of straight battle with too many characters to remember? Something like that. It was so bland and boring. No amount of cool moves will make up for the lack of actual plot advancement or meaningful characters.

I was also so disappointed that Bleach isn't what it used to be. "Oh, people just can't complain about it not being like the original quality". Oh yes I can, it's all one manga. It's not even a sequel. Things like spirit chains in ghost chest and Reiraku has never been mentioned again I think.

Everything just got... overpowered so quickly. At first, Bleach had a little mystery to it. The enemies were strong, but not undefeatable or "gods". It just.... it doesn't feel like Bleach anymore. It hasn't in a long time. I don't mind change, but this isn't change. This is a good story and a great idea gone bad.

Kubo should have done something different with the Hueco Mundo arc. They should have allowed him to finish with the defeat of the all powerful Aizen. And whatever is going on with the Quincy's should have happened WAY earlier after the Soul Society arc in my opinion. When things were still sane.

That's just my thoughts. I did like bleach, I loved it for a long time. But... I can't stand to see how far it's fallen in quality now. It makes me sad and I just like to pretend a lot of what has happened doesn't exist.

Agree with the one above, and he should had made the climatic battle with Aizen less pathetic....that battle really was supposed/had the feeling that it was the climax of the story, instead we get a butterfly man and a two swing k.o, not much of a fight.

Im still a fan, overall i still enjoy reading bleach, only thing im bit dissapointed about, was changing ichigos sword when he got his powers back, I found the simplistic black katana to be very alluring, now its all barbed and stuff. I've always felt that his bankai and his hollow mask/full hollow form reflected that he was still at his core human, like he wasnt caught up in the mythology of the soul reapers or hollows, so there was no fanciness to it, unlike pretty much everyone else in the series who have some pretty elaborate swords or forms

I'm still reading it, but I agree that it has seen better days. It is getting a bit repetitive now and I am losing my interest. Iwish that Ichigo had gotten some more character development.

Not really dying its more like everyone lost interest. I still read it. But my most of my friends stopped. Most people saw the aizen arc as the final chapter in bleach. The xecution arc just pissed off a lot of people. What needs to be explained is his dad's backstory. And yoruichi needs more screen time :/. Urahara should also show us his bankai already. But the current arc is pretty interesting. Who knew Quincy where german and badass.

So in the end I think bleach is one of those mangas that had unlimited potential but was ruined by the Mangaka.the good old bleach the bleach we all remember was at its height in the soul society arc. Watching the first 60 episodes of the anime was like a roller coaster ride of action and there was actual character development as renjis character got very much developed at that time.well I'm still a fan ,always will be and I'm happy to know there are still fans out there but I bet all of us are in someway disappointed in kubo sensei none

You have all these good looking females surrounding a teenage straight male. You have a majority of good looking females that are shinigami & hollows. How in the hell is there no "real" romance development after so many chapters? Ichigo doesn't even seem to perceive such a dialogue/plot when it is presented to him on a full scale.

You go to soul society to save a friend. This seems believable.
You go to Hueco Mundo to save your "friend." This I believe but this friend is also a potential love interest which seems odd to me that there wasn't any plot development between the two after all that struggling to save a damn friend. It should have been some of his guy friends. Kubo lacks in the romantic gestures. The Gin and Rangiku romance dialogue was so ridiculous. I never felt sadness when Gin died and Rangiku ran up to him and all that irrelevant dialogue,

And what was the point of working for a mother with a child? I see no damn purpose.

I see no relevance at all to the plot of the story. Why not work at a mall, a bar, an amusement park? At least there would be more of an out going feel of a real life. But noo, he works for a crazy bossy woman who for some reason hasn't fired his lazy ass.

Kubo still produces some amazing art, but he lacks on the story flow. Irrelevant dialogue/scenes. No background scenes. Only pure white/black backgrounds with close ups to movements and faces. A repetition of a plot device over and over and over again. No character development ever happens. If Bleach literally ends with him saving the day after this Quincy arc, I will burn all of my volumes of Bleach. dead

For the anime, nope.

Blame it on One Piece fanboys (read: Retards)

in order to glorify their Kiddie manga they set themselves to diminish any other rival manga and it's fanbase, they constantly try to bash it in their forums and everwhere else

Check out the review section 90% of the haters are OPtards

i still love Bleach, one of the best Mangas out there

Even if Bleach is loosing fans/readers, there are still the new ones to consider. There are manga and anime fans (or other people) that don't know of Bleach, will pick it up, start the series, and be into it. When they are at the same decision as us, they will decide if its "good" or "bad". For exemple, my sister.
There will surely always be some fans. Though, they will be at different stages. Everyone has their own tastes, some will like, hate, or not even care how Bleach turned out.
