Quote from vinceasuma Edit:
Check this out!!! Totally crazy: So it was @0/5000 for about an hour or so. So I thought something must be wrong and I thought to un then re install and maybe it would work. After re-install, I still have no graphic, BUT--------All the previous work came back!! I'm at 3700/5000 again and it seems to be working. Does anyone else think this is super weird? Well judgeing by your story of having a cold boot, and reinstalling, what most likely happen was when you crashed your computer the data that wasnt part of the work unit data got messed up, therefore you never lost the work data that you were doing but the program files that you need to run that data was corrupted, so when you uninstall it you didnt change the work unit data that is on your computer but you do remove some of the other files, so by reinstalling it, it allowed the program to work again at where u left off with the work you have already done by putting the uncorrupted files that you needed back into the folder.
But thats just my assumption.

Yup, joined. Again. It really isn't a problem in everyday use of the computer (unlike that damn SETI) and it's easy to simply forget about.
There's an option in configuration - 'allow receipt of work assignments and return of results greater than 5 MB in size'. It's a way to do even more, if you'd like to. Wow, got myself a large WU...still 100 days to go
Could you all put in your posts the names of proteins your working on?
By the way, this is weird...most of the students from my university don't give a damn about this project (even those studying biology or biotechnology). And yet, a group of manga fans is able to make a quite big team... Starting to like you all

Tommrow ill be going to my political science teacher whos also one of the healthcare professors and mention that they should put them on the school computers since they do nothing all day. ill mention this to the dean of my major as well (Software information systems) when i get a chance to. Though i doubt they will do anything since the university has very high firewall settings.

Me three on the protein, but where are you getting the percentage? If it has anything to do with the pie chart, it looks like less that 25% for me

You can check your log to see it.
Quote [22:18:46] Writing local files [22:18:46] Completed 3800000 out of 5000000 steps (76)
Notice the (76) part? That means I'm at 76%

So we're working on the same protein I checked some other forums and it seems that many people are working on it. Yet it doesn't look so complicated...
If you want a better look at this protein, change the visualization mode from space-filling to ball-and-stick (control panel/display/visualization type -> ball-and-stick).

That'd be a GREAT idea. Don't forgot to register to 79419 team ;) and look at the FAQ's for why they have the same protein. They send the same protein to check how it works if it were to put into different environments I guess. This is what I remember from the FAQ. "We don't learn all that much if we study from the protein once. That is why we send out to many computers the same protein."

not ALL of it is directed to you. Some of it is, I should be more specific to who I'm addressing

It's gonna take me a while to get one WU since I only have my comp on for like about 4 hours a day. It's working on the p3041-supervillin-03 Gromacs core.

PS3 is working on p3171 50% done.
PC working on p2610 0% done.
A quick question for running the SMP client on their PC, how do you shutdown the client? ctrl+c?
And I agree, I'm surprised at some of the teams. 2ch teams are in the top 50 and 4chan is somewhere in the mid 500's, heh.

Wow, I saw this topic about yesterday when the team barely got 3 WU, and now we got 22, awesome, I joined too!
I got it my desktop, my laptop and a small server down stairs, so I can push around 3 WU to the team at once, hopefully my desk and lap are at 83% done.
