Just to tell you guys, if you finished a WU on Saturday or Sunday and still haven't seen it get reported to the stats page yet, the guys over at Folding@Home are trying to fix that problem. (Happened to me...still waiting for that 1 WU to get into the system...)

Computer WU's are so time consuming>_< I might just stick with PS3 WU's. I can probably get 3-4 a day with the PS3 and about 1 WU almost a week with the computer.

I let my computer run for a day and a half straight, using the mac smp client. After ages without knowing something finally shows up on the stats page, 1720 points for one WU, strange...

By the way, this is weird...most of the students from my university don't give a damn about this project (even those studying biology or biotechnology). And yet, a group of manga fans is able to make a quite big team...
Starting to like you all biggrin

I guess they don't like sharing their CPU? Or maybe the proteins being made from the people helping will put them out of a job? ;) But maybe their work on computers is so little that they don't think it would make a difference.

Finished a WU earlier this evening and it was reported almost immediately. Reporting problems must be fixed.

I joined (2 days ago) and got pretty much the same result as donkabu except I finish 4 hours earlier, guess my computer is slower.

No, it was only a problem for a certain time period during the weekend.

If it will finish 4 hours earlier than my estimated time then your computer is faster. Or did you mean it will finish on 04:12 (am) July 18?

Mine's still working on the first WU but that's because my pc is on for only a few hours a day and I pause it sometimes when loading other applications. Right now, it's slowly working on some frames and says my WU will end in 04d:01h:45m:00s (on 23:24 Sat 21 Jul 07). dead

when you use the SMP client the WU is very large. Iam running it on my laptop atm and it has 500,000 steps not sure if those are the same as frames but the normal client does 5,000 frames in a WU. Either way, the reason why it took so long and you got a lot of points was that the WU is a lot bigger for SMP, i guess they figured if you have multi cores that your computer will process them faster so they give you larger WU's.

I'm also running it on my laptop, no information though(annoying mac client). I looked in the FAQ for the SMP client and it said that SMP uses a different kind of work unit than the standard client.

Interesting...We currently have 31 people using this program. More to come because of the updates and all. Anyone know 4chan's team number to check up on them? Nevermind...I don't need the number...I'd consider it cheating use the name Anonymous as a donor>_> How many other Anonymous are there out there. If you don't select a name, you're registered as that name.

There's a team search function on the team stats page. Remeber to input the name under Team Name.

afaik, the username is case-sensitive, so Anonymous is not = anonymous.

P.S The default name is Noname.

Just checked the stats for 4chan, they have 6061 WUs and they are ranked 574, their team is pretty large <_< eek

Anyways, it's a cool project and a good cause.

By the way, I'm getting WUs of 2,000,000 and 4,000,000 steps, my machines are not quite up to date ;) and using normal client, so who knows what it uses to determine what WU send you.
