some people have moral problems about it, but I do not. But people that talk about vegan/vegetarians generally wouldn't eat things like dog or cat so. w/e (personally i don't care we can chow down on those too tbh)

I'm not a vegan/vegeterian/pescatarian. But for a couple of months a year I do become a vegan (one who eats no sugars/processed foods/bleached flours) My body feels so amazing, you won't believe it. That feeling is really really great. The only thing I think my body doesn't absorb plant protein as well as animal protein so i'd need a supplement (or maybe try quinoa?) Oh and definetly an iron supplement. But besides that I just feel really great light, more healthy and it shows too.

Meat wise I really only eat chicken and turkey and occasionally fish. I don't really like pork. And eating beef literally makes me sick sad

Greater excess in food supply would drive prices down

And as a result, less people would use land to produce food, bringing us back to where we started.

I suppose......but in that case at the very least there would be less overfarming. So its not all bad.

Bump!

Been a vegetarian for 17 years and counting. That pretty much means since birth. I don't eat meat or eggs because I have been brought up a vegetarian. Though I have the freedom to eat anything I choose to - my parents are big on the "individual's choice" - I choose not to. I don't have anything against non vegetarians, but the smell of meat and eggs makes me want to hurl. The sight of blood also has me cringing. It won't bother me as long as I am not the one eating it.

It's a misconception most people have that being vegetarian helps you reduce weight and doesn't give you the necessary vitamins. That depends on the stuff that you eat. Being veg doesn't mean you eat just fruits and salads. However, that's how most Europeans and Americans interpret it. I love eating and have tasted a plethora of foodstuff, all veg. And I am as healthy as they come - never been underweight, anaemic etc.
