As a mangaka, her hands are very important to her (just like a pianist). And she just had a baby! ;__; I hope that she'll get well soon.

It's so awesome that she's going back to work right away. I would take a couple of months off to rest. She's so dedicated to her work. If only I can write in Japanese. I really want to send her a fanletter. Sighhh too bad.

I know that the One Piece author receives them and says he appreciates the support even though he can't read it.

However, I can understand what it is like for popular mangakas and authors to live with that kind of demand from the public. I'm sure that even if she did feel pressured into continuing, she would still have a deep affection for her stories and characters.

Member 6:23 pm, Mar 22 2009 Posts: 163	the problem with carpal tunnel syndrome is that the only known "cure" that yields result is surgery and that carries a risk of nerve damage but surgery results are usually good. I just hope that the mangaka doesn't push herself too hard and take as much time as needed to relax. ________________
