i've seen this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvnPkGl2sf4

my thoughts:

the boy still hasn't realized the whole thing, i bet he is just like "cool, i'm a dad now".
the girl is a shotacon?
grandparents? i don't know, have to see them myself before giving an opinion

Oh dear.

The child will be entering the same school system while his father is still attending.

I have noticed that this is an increasing trend in many places. While I applaud family togetherness, it's just wrong when I see 15 year olds wandering through the mall with infants, while their own (single) mothers bring along their infant children for the express purpose of using both strollers to shoplift.

It worries me.

Edit: I just heard the kid isn't even the father, apparently the 15 year old girl has other boyfriends?

Speechless.

I'm a little weirded out yet it's cute how this 13 year old boy has the maturity to take responsibly and vow to be a good father. Yes, it can be call naive but it's kind of cute. KIND OF. o____o

This is just wrong. a 15-year-old and a 13-year-old is not able to bring the kid up in a stable environment. i mean, teenagers are mostly selfish people. now they suddenly have to put another human beings interest and well being in front of their own, and i don't think that will happen. it sounds like they are ready to take responsibility, which is good, but i can't see how they can predict how this will affect their futures. and being teenagers, what is the probability of them staying together over a longer period of time? or even on good foot with each other?

my guess is that the girls parents will mostly take care of the child, while the mother becomes more like a sister (Jack Nicholson anyone?tho this kid will prolly know about it).

Babies having babies...

It's sad really. I'll be 20 this year and
I know I'm not near being ready for
such a big step.

Something like 3/4ths of all people classified as 'in poverty' are children.

Why?

Because children -cause- poverty. In most countries in this world, even in most "third-world" and developing nations, it is very possible/probable to care for your needs. However, even a single child throws that out of whack, and generally people don't just stop at one. Take for instance that screwed up woman who just had the octuplets (sp?) despite already having six kids... And living on welfare.

This 15/13 year old combination is yet another example of how the people on the lower end of the evolutionary scale are having more kids, while the educated/informed/higher-end scale people refrain from having kids since they know they either :

A. Don't want to shelve their dreams and take on the mantle of anothers'.
B. Realize that every person born equates to everyone else living with a lower standard of life, and that to continue population growth would end up with the human race destroying ourselves anyway.
C. Are living within their means.

[edit]Oh, I turn 21 in march. Not sure where that puts me on the OPs opinion scale.

Granted, whenever I present views against people having kids at early ages/ having more than two kids, there's a lot of people who get angry.

Part of it has to do with me living in Utah.

There is NO WAY those two kids are really going to parent that baby. If they really wanted to be responsible, they should have placed the baby for adoption.

The mom of the octuplets is just plain crazy. I don't dispute that she "loves" all her kids, but it takes a heck of a lot more to raise kids than just love. Even *if* we leave the money aspect out of it, it takes enormous amounts of time and energy to parent kids; you have to be consistent and follow through with discipline and give them lots of time & attention, and be willing to put their NEEDS above your own WANTS.

Don't even get me started on the money thing, she's just totally in la-la land if she thinks there's any way she's going to be able to support FOURTEEN children. Kids are expensive even without special needs (which I understand three of her first six have, and many/all of the octuplets are likely to have). If she really loved her kids that much, and was really going to be a good mom to them, she should have focused on taking care of the kid(s) she already had rather than trying to have more...and more...and more. dead The really sad thing is that it will be the kids who suffer.

I don't think anyone should have even ONE child unless they really want one AND are prepared to be fully responsible for that child, primarily emotionally but also financially as much as possible (money situations can change quickly & in unexpected ways, though...). Unless you're REALLY financially set, having very many kids is pretty irresponsible. I really cringe when I see these young couples having 4 kids in 5 years, much less 6 or 8 or more. no It's bad enough when they're unintended pregnancies (learn about birth control, people!!!), but when people *purposely* have that many kids.... dead

yep. they cant raise a kid when they're still being raised themselves. their parents will take care the baby, while they get a new sibling.
its sad how they are so young, the boy was in elementary school or what? thats just plain wrong.

Alfie's girlfriend had slept with different guys during the time of her conception. So far, there's 2 guys who's willing to step up and do the paternity test.

I DOUBT that the Alfie's the dad since I DOUBT that he's old enough to ejaculate and make BABIES! That Kid hasnt even had his voice changed YET!

Teenage pregnency eh...

It's rising at a rapid rate.

If anything, I feel sorry for the baby.

I'd be shit scared. Im only 16 myself and the though of having a baby terrifies me. I'm nowhere near ready...let me live my life please before I give it all up for my child laugh

But yeah, their clearly not teaching sex in the right way at schools if this sort of thing is happening. no

It's a growing trend unfortunately. As long as I don't have to pay for them with my taxxes I don't care, to be honest (Just turning 21).

Wow. I would hate to be in there position. They'll have to deal with a lot as they grow older. Don't they have safe sex or abstinence teachings over there?

Yeah, we do have safe sex being taught in our schools - not so much abstinence, which could be where the problem lies. In the UK, the general feeling seems to be that if they chuck condoms at kids, there won't be any teen pregnancies, something proved wrong all the time. A few girls I know - including a girl who was once a really close friend of mine - have had babies before 18, but I don't know of any really young dads.

I always thought throughout school (I'm 18 now, so at uni) that with the amount of 'safe sex' messages we were getting, you'd have to be pretty stupid to get pregnant. We had the lessons on repeat every week from year 7 (11 years old) to year 13 (17/18 years old). But obviously, it depends on a lot more than what you're told at school.

Well, i don't know am i counted as teenager's in your eye's.
I'm 18, so if you count as 13 to 19 thing then i'm XD

My answer:
I read of that case and i was shocked.
First thing's that came to my mind were:
- They are too young!
- How can 15 year old sleep with 13 year old!

And then when there was writing that there is other father candidate's to the child and the 13 year old said that he believe's that the child is his.
I was thinking like that he is just a child and naive and he just cannot understand the situation with many way's.
He just think's that everyone he care's are good people.
