Ok, so they announced the cast of D.gray-Man the other day and I want to know what people think. Personally, I'm not disappointed but I think that some of the main characters could have had better picks.
So, here they are:

-Allen voiced by Todd Haberkorn. All I really know is that he voiced Kaoru in Ouran High School Host Club and Kimihiro in xxxHolic. I don't really think it's the worst pick for Allen and it will probably grow on me but I don't really think it's a good pick. Allen's voice should be more gentle, not so high.

-Kanda voiced by Travis Willingham. He obviously voiced Roy in Fullmental Alchemist, and he also did Mori in Ouran. I personally love his voice. It is really nice, but again, not a perfect match for Kanda. But I don't think we could ever get that. His voice is just a little to deep. Not really mean enough. But I think this one will work out fine. We'll see how it goes.

-Lenalee voiced by Luci Christian. She has voiced a lot of people, notably Kaname in Fullmetal Panic and Wrath in Fullmetal Alchemist. I really don't know her voice that well so I can't really say anything. Plus I held no special love for Lenalee's voice in japanese. But I think that Luci Christian has that cute, quiet voice that can turn tough. Which should be good for Lenalee.

-Lavi is voiced by Jason Liebrecht. Oh, this freaked me out. I LOVE LAVI'S VOICE IN JAPANESE! It is like soooo perfect for his character I was so scared that were going to mess it up in the dub. And guess what? They kinda did. He voices Train from Black Cat, Ban Mido from GetBackers, and Syaoran from Tsubasa Cronicles. I like his voice for those people, but it's not really Lavi. I will watch it, but something in the back of my minds always going to go, 'that sounds weird coming out of Lavi's mouth.' It's just not fun enough. But, I will say that I don't think anyone could fill those shoes and I guess he's an ok choice. I'll just have to see what he does to his voice to make up my mind.
Oh, yeah, Jason is ALSO doing the Millennium Earl. Weird...

Extras:
-Road is voice by Cherami Leigh. The voice of Clare in Claymore and Himwari in xxxHolic

-Komui Lee is voiced by J.Micheal Tatum. The voice of Kyouya in Ouran High School Host Club and Doumeki in xxxHolic.

-Cross is voiced by Christopher Sabat. The voice of Kurogane in Tsubasa Cronicles and Vigeta in Dragonball Z.

i'm quite eager to hear the voices, but i hope it turns out really well! i'll go check out the voice actors and tell you what i think!

ok. now that i finally got to check out the voice actors, i must say. it's an interesting choice they made. i kinda feel that they might have assigned the actors the wrong roles to say the truth

i think Todd Haberkorn (voicing for Allen) should voice for Lavi instead. i mean, the voices match the personality more. i watched his previous role as Hikaru/Kaoru in Ouran and i think it fits Lavi's mischievious personality more.

then, i think Jason Liebrecht (voicing for Lavi/Earl) should voice for Allen. the roles should flip-flop. it fits Allen's calmer personality more.

and i think that Travis Willingham (voicing for Kanda)'s voice is too deep for Kanda. maybe it's because i have a special liking for voices more like this, but i don't think Johnny Bosch would b a bad voice actor for Kanda. It fits a little more than a deep voice for someone who's supposed to b a young 18 year old xP

otherwise, after switching the roles around, i think the voice choices aren't bad! it'll be interesting to see how it turns out =D i hope it goes well!!

now im gonna have to re-watch this with the dubs
