supposed to be all dolled up to bottom at an SM bathhouse, than mea culpa. Honestly, though, I don't think Kubo realizes that he's put the guy in fetish gear, so it's kind of embarrassing. Also, who walks around dressed like that? Save it for the sex club. Ick.

He was fine as a bad guy, but he won a few popularity polls in Japan and all of the sudden we were being asked to feel sympathy for him. Ichigo was going to be all sporting and chop off his arm to fight him fair; Inoue wasn't scared of him anymore; He got this sad little death scene. WTF
What did he ever do that makes him remotely a good guy? Shouldn't we be happy he's dead? I don't get it. Is this that whole "emo" thing I read about in Newsweek?
Other characters are good, but it's clear that Kubo had no clue what to do with them after the Soul Society arc. He is trying to keep them relevant by giving them silly, arbitrary new powers instead of actually developing them in meaningful ways. I'm looking at you Chad, Hitsuguya, Rukia, Soi Fong.
