Some of these manga I've read already but for those that I haven't I will try to pick up and see how it goes and if it's for me or not. Thank for the suggestions and also for NHK ni Youkoso! is this the same as the anime or did it diverge somewhere or did the anime only cover like half the manga?

From what I've heard, NHK anime/manga have completely different atmospheres. I believe they are different enough to warrant viewing both (again, hearsay.)

Honey and Clover. And I second Sahara Mizu/Yumeka Sumomo, although I confess I've never finished one of her shounen ai titles. In my defense, I wouldn't have liked that plot in a straight story either. roll
