What are the best and worst things about where you live.
The best - free health care, beautiful countryside
The worst - dull, dreary weather
PS I don't think this topic has been used earlier, sorry again if it has.

Let's see, I like quite a few things, but here's the basics:
neighborhood~ dead-end street so no traffic, very calm & peaceful area
town~ one of the safest in the country
state~ there are beautiful areas as well as a lot of things to do, the people aren't too bad either
country~ our freedoms
Worst, again just the basics:
neighborhood~ too many dogs around here
town~ traffic and lack of sidewalks/crosswalks
state~ tearing down too many forests to build needless things, taxes
country~ too high an unemployment rate, racism, people who take advantage of others or programs they don't need/shouldn't receive

Best: ...there's a lot. Just consult one of the threads asking why people like Japan,,.. the food is a good answer though.
Worst: Height of doorways, particularly on subways. I'm 6'2" and always hitting my head on things -_-;;. Also not fond of the distance to nature, but I'm working on that.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

Best: lots of cool places to visit near where I live (Jamestown, Petersburg, DC, Williamsburg, even Baltimore and Philadelphia); most of my best friends live at least within the state
Worst: warm climate (which means little snow and worse allergies); the people in the room above me have apparently been playing basketball all day...inside.

Best: Good weather. Quiet. Lots of places to go to just for the hell of it.
Worst: Traffic. (depends on time of day and where you're headed, though). Location: everything is not a far distance away, but not conveniently close either.

Best- Shopping centers, food centers, lots of fashion shows, great schools, best clubs. great site seeing places, location.
Worst- Way too much people, way too much traffic, crappy public transportation, living around creepy rich people, hearing a gunshot at least once a week. (In time you learn not to question the phenomenon.)

I like how I can find anything I need and how most stuff is comparatively cheap here compared to other major cities I've been to.
I hate the summer weather. 97 degrees with 100 percent humidity is damn miserable.

Best - Peaceful, quiet, low crime level.
Worst - As hot as hell. Last summer it got up to 113 degrees (Fahrenheit). Its in the upper 60s-Lower 70s generally, during "Winter". T_T
