it would be very helpful if there was a function in the release archive to only show releases on my list, because it's very time consuming to check back for new releases if you have been on vacation or something.

there is actually a system for that allready.
in your reading list. when new releases are available little red letters will pop up telling you what chapter is new out there and not read by you.

I've also started on a feat for the archive to show only releases on your lists for specific date ranges.

How about a feature where we can get a linked list of all series comments/ratings by a particular user, from that user's member page?

Sometimes you see someone has similar tastes to yours, and you want to see what they've rated highly, or lowly, as a suggestion of what to try, or to skip. I'd seriously use that.

Edit: thought this was a global "suggestions" thread, hence posted here ... I see now that's not the case, but hope that's okay ...

What do you mean as a linked list? If a user has their reading list public, you can click on it and view everything you just wanted to see...

Ah, I see ... I guess if people put the manga they rate into their lists, you can track their various ratings down that way. Not realizing that the lists had the ratings in them, I was thinking of something similar, except like a list that would be generated automatically from the ratings/comments people add to series ... but that would be mostly redundant with the list feature, even if the list feature relies on people to build them.

About the recomendations linked to a manga, this should be done like a poll, the recomendations of a manga should be ordered by most votes and see how many votes each recomendation got, and also enable users to add a recomended manga,
Spoiler (highlight to view)
this is like is used on animenfo
