(I do apologise if this is in the wrong forum. Sorry.)

I have a question about BK1, the online Japanese bookstore. Has anyone here who has ordered from them used Sea mail to transport their stuff? If so, what kind of condition were they in?

I believe when I last ordered from them, I used Airmail, but I honestly don't remember. I'm debating whether to use sea or airmail, but both aren't insured, so if they get lost...(But I've never heard of BK1 losing the stuff you order...)

Anyway, I'm sorry if this is the wrong board to ask. I'm getting ready to place an order with them and would like some advise.

I have. Stuff came perfectly intact (the box was in better condition than many that I get from Amazon's priority service... which frequently gets to me held together only by the packing tape). The time frame was ridiculously slow, though... I had forgotten what I ordered by the time it arrived.

I've heard some people say it took only a few weeks, about how long did it take for you?

I'm only doing this because I haven't ordered from them in probably two years, so I need to catch up with all the series I'm missing on. (which is a LOT)

Just a bit concerned if I'm going to get more than 7 or 8 books, I felt it might not be worth it.

It took the full 6 weeks for mine (I'm in Texas if that matters at all)... I only did it once, as I normally prefer a more instant gratification when it comes to reading material, so it may have just been bad luck. If you're not really in a hurry for it, the shipping savings are really nice, though.

Hah, I'm also in Texas.
I think, I'm not really in any hurry to receive it, plus the awesome savings, I'd love to use sea.

Thanks for the help. smile
