@Brucie_kun: Oh wow! Where did you manage to read volume 19 raws?? The magazine scans =O? Because volume 19 isn't supposed to be out in Japan yet. xD

Ah it's Hotaru who is with Team Summer B, she has the softer, watery looking eyes whereas Hibari looks sharper and a bit more bratty. ^^;; They're distantly related, but they have some sort of psychic link. Ever since they were young they would be able to feel what the other was feeling, like pain, sadness, elation etc. But it's sort of sporadic, they aren't always linked, sometimes they just get a sudden sensation or thought of what the other is feeling/thinking, but there are times when there's nothing at all.

Hibari went off on her own and joined up with Tsunomata, because she couldn't stand being together with Hotaru. I'm not sure what has happened to them but that's all. Hotaru has always stayed with Team Summer B. =)

Yep, they're from magazine scans. I know that the chapters are not being published into vol 19 until February (sent you a PM for the link) ^^

And thanks for answering to my question!
Spoiler (highlight to view)
I got really confused when I read the scene where a girl was talking to Kaname and Tsunomata. And when she left with Tsunomata, I thought the same GIRL is sleeping in the tent. Your explaination pretty much explained everything in the scene, it makes sense now. Thanks!

@psychoidiot: Haha don't worry, the Ryugu (Ash chapter) story arc is coming to an end. You'll get to see more Team Summer B soon, and they're a brighter bunch. So there shouldn't be any tragic incidences for a while yet. ^^;;

I agree! The storyline is noticeably 'lighter' eversince Team Summer B came into the picture! The readers can relate themselves to what they have experienced.

The other arcs that revolves around other teams are no doubt exciting but they are different from the situation faced by members of Team Summer B. They may be survivors, but they are not survivalist. It's their bond and trust that keeps them alive.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
And ironically, they're the only Team that hasn't break apart or lost any people.

Sorry but the double post but chapter 106 is out todayyyyyyyy!!! The Fuji ship arc has officially ended!!!!!!

Here's my share of spoilers..Unlike some errors I posted the spoilers for vol. 19, this time I managed to get some reliable translations for the recent chapters.. No worries!

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Ango told Natsu and Arashi how 7 people were only chosen for Team Summer A and the rest are dead. Ryou overheard their conversation through the air ventilation connecting the ship compartments. Arashi asked Ango 'Why didnt you run away?'. Ryo and Ango were shocked- they never thought of 'escaping' or making their own choices. Arashi asked if the institution where they were raised were surrounded by high security , Ango just said it's was somewhere in the mountains and that their only thoughts were to become the chosen 7 'at all costs'. Natsu and Arashi wept listening to him and wondered if he and the rest of the people there were 'brainwashed' into surviving..and their willingness to undergo the special training and the final test...just like victims of domestic violence who can't find a reason to escape. Hearing this, Ango laughed and said 'Then the rest of us are all idiots? We're all dead if we dont participate'.. Arashi said he doesnt have to bear that responsibility. Ryou, Matsuri and Semimaru got out of the ventilation shaft; Ryou told Arashi about how Shigeru's death was not his fault, the rope was cut by Shigeru in order to save Ango.' Ango was shocked and Ryou said Shigeru has made his own decision for himself and let others live by their own responsibilities/action. Hearing this Ango cried and saw himself with Shigeru standing next to each other on equal terms. Ango's two injured fingers finally moved when they saying farewell to each other.
--

After that incident everyone climbed up horizontally towards the top level of the ship, they were finally reunited with Botan and Hotaru...they told them about the countdown and missiles at the bottom of the ship [they have approx 7 hours to go]. After analyzing the situation, they've decided to decode the missiles device. Hotaru told them the ship is divided into 4 vessels, A B C D...each equipped with the device that stopped the missiles [coded 1,2,3,4]. They were not sure what these meant.

Arashi, Natsu and Ango went into the 1st. Ryo, Matsuri and Botan were the group that is incharge with looking for the exit of the ship. Semimaru and Hotaru were in the control room, instructing others through the speaker.
--
In the 1st device compartment [it looks more like a hatch], Arashi, Natsu and Ango found a computer-like device. The CPU asked for a verification 'What's your favourite book?'. They werent expecting this but Botan knew the name of the book from the poem recited by the ship's captain from the video. Arashi typed in the book's name-confirmed- the CPU then asked for a PASSWORD! Hotaru told them she finally understood how to deactivate the missiles, the ship requires manual confirmation from 4 people designated on four of the device compartments in order for the ship to launch the missiles. They knew the person incharge with the 1st device was the ship captain. They set out to the room where the captain body was found, Natsu found that the captain was wearing a bracelet with 8 letters containing numbers and alphabets on it. They put in the numbers into the device.. They set out to 2,3, 4 but they were wondering how they can figure out the designated people who were incharge with the activation of the missiles in the first place?

Just to make a summary of it:
Device 2 = Verification question 'What's the name of your pet?..A picture of a kitten. It was Mimi's owner. ---Natsu found the body of Mimi's owner and a ring emblemed with the password.

Device 3= Verification question 'What's your favourite menu for dinner?'.. They all agreed that Curry is the best menu for Dinner [Even Ango thinks it's a good food]. --- Semimaru found the password from the body of the ship's chef who hung himself in the kitchen.

Device 4 = Verification question 'Which sports is not played in this ship?'.. Semimaru and Matsuri remembered the stash of sports equipment they found, and said that Baseball wasnt there. --- Arashi found the password hidden in a Baseball trophy cup in one of the ship's compartment.

Once they have put in the verification and passwords...the system showed 'ERROR'. They can't deactivate the missiles device! --it must be something to do with the iron-eating bacteria.
---
Eventhough they failed to deactivate the system..the recent events has made Ango realized how their survival skills are useless in this situation and that Team Summer A wouldnt be able to do anything in stopping the missiles. He also feel intimidated when he couldnt understand a thing while listening to Hotaru and Arashi's conversation about the necessary actions they need to do next. Ango also questioned Ryou if their special training were useless.

While they were moving around the ship, the iron-eating bacteria was spreading like wildfire because they were sensing signs of life in the ship. Since Natsu was on her period, the bacteria seemed to be following her presence. Arashi also accidentally cut his arm when he was trying to save Natsu, the bacteria seem to be going for their blood. They were both stranded at the bottom level of the ship with bacterias flooding in every direction.

Meanwhile, Matsuri, Ryou and Botan was looking for an exit..there were some sweet fluffy moments between those two..teheheh! Apparently Ryou likes 'peppy, curly hair girls' ..Initially, I thought he was refering to Koruri but I think he was implying that he likes ..Matsuri. Botan couldnt help but chuckled listening to their conversation. Eventually they found a way to escape the ship from the stairways located in a hollow missile maintainence shaft that the ship uses to 'fire' the missiles out of the ship. They've decided to ABANDON THE SHIP since the iron eating bacteria were eating through everything... This also endanger their lives. Ango decided to rescue Arashi and Natsu, Ryou left Matsuri and Botan to help them. Before he left, Matsuri told him to take care of himself, there was a glimpse of Ryou smiling back to her (Kyyaaa!! My fangirl senses are tingling!!).

--
At the bottom of the ship, Natsu and Arashi were stuck in a deep shaft with nowhere to go, the bacterias were eating through the sealed door and they will eventually overun them in time. Ango analyzed the situation to save them and made a lever to the rope and tied the end with a heavy machinery. Semimaru was shocked to see how perceptive Ango was. When they were trying to push down the heavy load down the shaft, the machine was stuck. Ango had no choice but to take out his gun and shoot the electrical device attached to the machine. The machine fell off the shaft--Natsu and Arashi were pulled up by the lever from the heavy load thrown in the shaft. Ryou was shocked to hear gunshots.. when he arrived, he helped Semimaru and Ango to get Natsu and Arashi off the rope attached to the lever. Ango was horrified to see the bottom of the shaft is now overun by the iron-eating bacteria. He decided to throw his gun down the shaft as a temporary diversion for them to escape. The bacteria went for the gun instead and they managed to escape.
The chapter ends with them reuniting with the rest of the team and climbing up the stairs leading to the exterior of the ship. Semimaru became really suspicious of why Ryo and Ango have guns.

The Fuji ship arc officially ends and the last panel of the chapter shows a glimpse of Hana (apparently floating on water)...somewhere. I'm not sure if she's alive but I cant wait for the next chapter!!!!

Well that was fun!!
biggrin biggrin biggrin

I can't really tell if Tamura sensei's going to move onto a new arc until Chapter 107 comes out but it is safe to assume that the Fuji ship arc is already nearing its end.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Since all of them got off the ship. But it is unclear about the fate of the missiles in the ship.

I just thought about this thing regarding the cards. For the longest time, I was thinking that Ryou was the one behind the incidents where a member of Team Summer B would almost die
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
(ex. the CO poisoning, Semimaru almost being baked to death, Arashi being left behind and Chimaki being smacked behind his head).
I think I've read somewhere that Ryou thought that their team was to lead and guide the other teams so he thought that it's time to test or train them. I think he said that it's not bad if Ango become something like their old teachers. So when those incidents starting to happen to Summer B, I was thinking that Ryou started to test the team. Ango doesn't know about this. But have anyone seed Ryou with a deck of cards? It doesn't really seem to be his kind of thing (to leave a sign behind. He didn't with Haru). Could the one behind the incident be this "Shinigami" that Ran and Nigiko were talking about? Could the Shinigami be Mozu and that he's the one doing these things?

@Sachins: No, it's definitely Ryo 'testing' them. I'm not sure why or where he got that deck of cards but...

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
1. While the rest are partying inside the ship's cabin, Ango leaves for fresh air. Shortly after Ryo follows him, carefully shutting the door, and then the windows from the outside. Ryo and Ango chat about Summer B for a while, when suddenly Ango realises that the rest have gone quiet. He rushes in to save them, remembering Koruri and Shigeru. Ryo helps him carry them out, and as he's carrying Matsuri in his arms, he remembers the time he carried Koruri after she almost died of CO poisoning.

2. After Ryo found out that Arashi was Hana's boyfriend he went diving with Arashi and you explicitly see him tying the seaweed around Arashi's foot as he's foraging for shellfish, then Ryo leaves. Arashi realises later and panics but Ango finds him and cuts him loose. Later Ango climbs on board and you see Ryo playing with the cards in his hands.

3. Ryo, Arashi and Semimaru are in the sauna together. Semimaru is spouting nonsense, and as usual he starts to say some pretty intuitive things. Ryo realises how surprisingly sharp Semimaru is, and seems a little disgruntled at the 'unnecessary things' Semimaru is saying about him and Ango. Semimaru thinks he's the man so he refuses to leave the sauna early (Arashi quickly runs off, not being able to take the heat any longer). As Ryo leaves, he places a chair under the door handle outside, trapping Semimaru in the sauna. When Semimaru realises (completely groggy and about to pass out), it's too late as he feebly knocks/scratches at the door. He then tries to get out through the steam vent, but Ryo is sitting on top of it on the other side. When Natsu hears something, she goes to investigate and ends up bumping into Ango. Together they find and save Semimaru. [card = ace of spades]

4. Later, while Semimaru is recovering, Arashi asks Ryo if they'll stay anchored for a while because he wants to go diving again. Ryo tells him they will be, until Semimaru has calmed down. The wind then picks up and without telling anybody about Arashi, Ryo begins to lift the anchor and open the sails, leaving Arashi behind. [card = two of spades]

5. Much later, after the crew find the ship shelter, Ryo decides to follow Ango (who wants to go because of Natsu), even though he has his doubts. As he's about to go, Chimaki chats to him and Ryo tells him this is the 2nd time he's walking straight into trouble. Chimaki replies, "If you're doing it twice, then there'll be a third time. I quite like that sort of thing, since I'm not the type to do it myself. I envy you a little." For some reason this pisses Ryo off, so he tells Chimaki to pull hard on one of the sail ropes later, knowing full well that when Chimaki does pull it, he'll be knocked into the sea by the sail. Which is indeed what happens, trapping Chimaki in the weird thick seaweed. Chimaki is later saved by Arashi who manages to find the boat again after a long ordeal out at sea on his own. [card = three of spades]

Since then I haven't seen Ryo 'testing' anybody because they've been too busy trying to figure out/escape the ship and/or stop the missiles from destroying Japan. In any case, Ryo is not the "Shinigami". He has his own agenda, though I'm not really sure what he was getting at, maybe he just believed it was his role to test Summer B...

Yes, the Shinigami is most likely Mozu/Kaname, but the Shinigami is more like a fail-safe measure. He's not there to mindlessly kill or test people, his task is to eliminate those who just can't get along with the rest (causes conflict and dissension) and those who are living in despair/hopelessness, or to kill everyone and then himself if the future they came to happened to be wholly uninhabitable for humans. That is why he enclosed his hands around Hana's neck and asked her whether death was what she wished for. As soon as she lashed out, fighting to live, he left without a moment's hesitation. He is merely to relieve them of any misery or despair. I believe part of it may be attributed to him no longer wanting anyone to suffer on his account (he definitely regrets what happened to Summer A).
