I've just watched the anima for Skip beat and I really want to know what happens so I'm planning on buying the manga.
Can anyone tell me if it is worth buying.
Like if the plot gets any better and stuff.
thanks biggrin

I adore it. romance slows down (i'm only at volume 18 so maybe someone else who reads the scans could tell you more) but from the point i'm at, it's more about her challenges, not the guys...

Romance does take a back seat (although, it's looking like something might happen as of ch139 *fingers crossed*). But if you liked the anime, it does follow the manga fairly close and I certainly think it's worth buying.
As for whether or not the plot gets better, that will depend on how you define "better." Some interesting characters are introduced and I certainly like the second drama character Kyoko creates better than Mio.

I recommend buying the manga eyes
The manga series actually goes into more detail of the characters' thoughts (although the anime can't help it; every episode can't be stuffed with everything that happened in the manga).

I'm not at the part where Kyoko does another drama though. cry

Exactly, the manga is definitely worth it. There's quite a bit they didn't put into the anime so the manga will give you the full experience.

The anime, in my opinion, is crap. Pretty true to the storyline and everything, but the animation is some of the wost I've ever seen.

As for the manga, it is 10000000% worth buying. Its one of my favorites.

I need 18 but I also read the scans and yes, in my opinion it is worth buying. eyes I'm at chapter 139 (139!!!) and the romance is definitely coming back.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Sho, Ren, and Reino all in one chapter!!! And it's almost Valentine's Day!!! But where the heck is Hikaru?!

Pay VERY close attention to the Ren and Kyoko scenes.

Yes, there is so much left out in the anime. The anime is like the top of the iceberg, there is so much more to it. Plus, the manga has so much detail in its drawings. When the anime drops off, its Ch. 68 and the most recent is Ch. 196.

Just imagine that you never got to know the ending! eek
