Undertale.

The music is great. I love the humor of this game! I played it everyday for a couple of hours before I need to sleep. Haven't been playing too many games due to work. :\

Haha, i know very well how that feels,
Been Playing "Tower of Savior" on my phone for a year and a half already,
I spend atleast 150$ on it every month xD

Tho, it isnt exactly a Pay to Win/Play,
They give premium currency everyday and once you clear a stage, (pretty generous actually)

Easily possible to become a good player without ever paying, takes time tho,

The Division Ubisoft decided to jump on the loot-shooter-bandwagon but they had no idea how to brand the game so a Tom Clancy stamp it is. The game is thus as identity-deprived as one would expect, yet i have to acknowledge the exceptional production value.
The Winter-Wonderland meets DMZ look is always worth a second glance yet the same can´t be said about the actually shooter gameplay. The combo of knee-high walls, bullet sponge enemies and grinding isn´t the most fun of formulas. Going through the motions has thus never looked better and i soon started to ask myself why i wasn´t playing Destiny or Borderlands instead. I will admit that i have interest to see the From Software-esque Dark Zone concept explored further and a sequel could pull an Assassins Creed and fire on full cylinder next time but i will wait until that day to give this, admitted successful, franchise another go. The game is best enjoyed with a dedicated team, which can be a double edged sword. Skip.

Kathy Rain is an old school adventure in the vain of Gabriel Knight, early 90s pronation and all. So it´s for genre fans only but it´s still a shame that this game, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, all the German adventure games and so on never get attention from the main stream. Or from gamers who like to see narratives and protagonists outside of big budget constraints! I could have lived without the Twin Peaks-esque supernatural elements in act 3 but they do fit the genre and are there from the start. The world also feels very lived in and this biker chick Nancy Drew certainly derives the hinted at sequel. B

Quantum Break Remedy´s Max Payne games are still a high point for the genre and they have been on a slight decline ever since. Quantum Break is better than Alan Wake´s: American Nightmare but they again put production values over everything else.
I would have preferred less motion blur during the calmer segments and a reduced grain filer but the audiovisual quality of the game can´t be denied. The same goes for most of the set-pieces but the game reuses a lot of locations and thus feels a bit "small". The shooting and enemy variety could have been better as i was just going through the motions despite finishing the game on hard. The game ultimately stands and fall with the narrative / presentation and it is as expensive as it is forgettable. I had fun following along but predicted every plot point and don´t expect to remember much, despite the high amount of flavor text. The branching paths have no real effect on the game and the packed in 4 TV episodes left me cold for the most part. The .hack series did the same trick over a decade ago with the slightly forgettable companion OVAs but these at least had production values.
I can 100% recommend the game for the spectacle of it all but hope for less formula and tighter gameplay for the developer´s next offering. B-

Ratchet & Clank (2016) I have been a fan since the series started and don´t even dislike the 2 missteps (Secret Agent Clank and Full Frontal Assault) but will admit that the series needed this reboot. This remake is nearly unrecognizable from the 2002 original in terms of characterization / story, level design and especially gameplay. Returning players can thus look forward to a mostly new experience, while new fans can still go back to the HD Collection and still get something new, if inferior, out of it. That´s how to do reboot ladies and gentlemen but the formula is now more than established at this point, so don´t expect another must-have as with Ratchet 2 or 3 back in the day and just another great yet short 3rd person shooter with a decent amount of replayability. It may also be the best looking game on the PS4 but the reused Cgi sequences from the companion film managed to mess with the narrative. Can we now please reboot Crash/Jak and Daxter. Ratchet never left us after all. B+

Star Fox Zero Let´s be honest, SF 64 is the only good game in the series and even that one is the definition of a rental but the space / on rail genre desperately needs new fuel and Platinum sounded like perfect choice. Platinum though decided to put the B team on it (their quality is all over the place and the B team is catching up...), to just reuse 64´s framework / obnoxious presentation and the budget is barely there. Worst of all are the endless gimmicks, the helicopter is the worst offender, and how they manage to destroy the control scheme. The critics should have been more savage if you ask me and the 4 hour run-time is the final joke on top. This franchise got enough 2nd chances and 4 mediocre experiments in a row are too many! The franchise should either get a Sin and Punishment-esque rail shooter or be buried for real. Skip.

The Walking Dead: Michonne has a weird problem. It somewhat demands knowledge of the comic, to fully appreciate the characterization and narrative of the protagonist, and is either too short or too long. I greatly liked the middle episode but the first is too slow for such a short game and the last one lacks payoff. The structure of the other one-off 400 Days should have been used instead but I had fun for the 3,5 hour run time and welcome further side stories. B

Xenoblade Chronicles X The 1st disc of the infamously unfinished Xenoblade and the unconnected original Chronicles are the only worthwhile offerings from the developer.
The rest ultimate crumbled under ambition, so I greatly welcome this new one-and-done approach. The melodramatic story gets good after a slow first act but don´t ask me why the cringe worthy "humor" had to increase and don´t expect a resolving sequel. The gameplay, aka. the game´s main selling point, is the same quality offering as last time but the lack of comfort during the quest-chains is a noticeable flaw. So is the lack of a MUCH needed manual/tutorials. The decision to go with an avatar protagonist is a bit awkward at times too but the narrative somewhat justifies it. I would have liked to select Japanese VAs, as last time, but the American ones do a decent job and the soundtrack is again a highlight despite it´s sometimes inappropriate use. The graphics should also be the best the WiiU has to offer. I can ultimately recommend the game, mostly due to the lack of competition, but it is WAY too padded and ultimately inferior to the Wii predecessor. C+

Dark souls 3.

Honestly, it's a lot easier than Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1/2. I was pretty much expecting a game were I built up more frustration than the time I fought Ornstein and Smaug from Dark Souls 1. Believe me, that was a lot.

Either way, I'm still enjoying it and I can't help but mention how beautiful the game is. Incredibly stunning.

I will never comprehend why people had problems with Ornstein and Smaug. I did them on my 2nd try! Sif (i didn´t have my build figured out at the time), The Four Kings, the Stray Demon and big part of Demon’s Souls were way harder. I am also going though DS3 right now (A-) and it is around the level of DS2 / Bloodborne in terms of difficulty. Somewhat challenging but not necessarily "hard".
Go for Ninja Gaiden 1/2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, WarCraft 2 - Beyond the Dark Portal, all sorts of Megaman or Shinobi entries. Or old (S)NES/PC games. Let´s not even start with adventure games. Getting games to run with MS-DOS was already a challenge...
Z may lastly be the hardest difficulty-selection-free game i ever played.

Doom

Glory kills r superb haha, and very fast paced, the enemies gangs up on you reaaalll quickly..
died a couple of times in the first 10 mins, wasnt exactly used to very fast paced shooting vs hordes that shoots fireballs.

After that 10 mins, the game actually became pretty easy

Uncharted4

Bought a copy earlier this day, will prolly play it tom
