YES! FUCKING YES!

Ok that has officially made my day. Gold and Silver were one of the best pokemon games created. The gameplay was wicked. It was longer to complete and much more satisfactory.

Me and my friend were saying recently that they should remake gold and silver like they did with red and blue.

Can't wait for that one to be comming out in english biggrin

well If their gonna remake pokemon they should at least let you control the pokemons on how they move and attack instead of just giving orders but I guess that's asking too much since it would gett pretty complicated trying to code and animate the movements of all what 453 pokemons?...

Thats what I used to think, but a friend of mine told me if this were the case, it wouldn't really be an RPG anymore.

current rpg are like this now...

If you want to BE the pokemon, they made the dungeon series for that.

Though if you want to actually have dodge buttons and jumps and whatnots, it wouldn't be much of a RPG but more like an action game.

I'm quite looking forward to these two games, probably end up getting heart gold smile .

Well Everyone realized Ash was a poor representative of the Pokemon franchise when in the first movie he failed to even ATTEMPT to capture Mew or Mewtwo.

"Gotta catch em all!!" my ass.

Hell. Yeah. I still can't believe how this news came out RIGHT when I picked up Crystal after years.

I'm incredibly tempted to buy a DS when this gets out.

Gold and Silver are AWESOME!!!!

It has the Night and Day element (with I loved to exploit)
Since different pokemon move at different hours of the day the game was actually harder.

The legendary pokemon ran away from you and you had to randomly find them in the GRASS, in with they would normally run away... and if they couldn't "MEAN LOOK", they just used Roar.

The mystery gift was also cool because you could fight a copy of the other person pokemons in the virdian city trainers house, and actually get experience for beating a lvl 100 mewtwo.

Strong pokemon, in the overrall where harder to catch than in later games -_-

You could kick both BLUE AND RED in the ass, Red being harder with all his lvl70/80 pokemons (pikachu was a WASTE of team space)

In short, of the WHOLE pokemon franchise Gold and Silver are the BEST ones BY FAR, I am happy to know they are making a remake, BUT GOD DAMN THEM, IF THEY MAKE IT EASIER.

I hope they keep the cloning bug!!! ^_^

You know, when I played the 2nd Generation games, I always felt sorry for the kids that started in Kanto. The gym leaders' pokemon were all at Level 40+, and they'd probably get their ass beat constantly. laugh

I guess Johto was made for those all-new players.

It would explain why Falkner best Pokemon is at Level 9 and Brock's best was at Level 14.

But I bet that the Kanto trainers can kick the Johto trainers asses!

I have Red and Gold still and I prefer Red.
Ash was to easy to beat in Gold.
Gold is still good though.

Considering what they did in FireRed and LeafGreen, they'd probably add a harder difficulty for a second try at the Pokemon League or maybe a new twist instead of the dumb "..." Red gave us at the end of the original G/S.

Can't wait to see more develop on this.
