Works like Yumeka Sumomo's and Mizushiro Setona seeing as they're two of my favorite mangakas.
I was immediately won over by Yumeka's oneshot- Kon no Ki Konoha. I've finished most of her other works, well, the ones that managed to catch my interest at least.
And Setona Mizushiro is amazing. After School Nightmare, Mister Mermaid, Kyuuso wa Cheese no Yumewomiru, and 1999 Shanghai practically killed me.
Both artists not only made me fall in love with their art, but their style of weaving a well-written story as well.
I'm fine with any genre so long as it isn't anything with action. I can't read action, but I can watch it.
I love reading sad mangas that can make me cry too, but over-the-top drama is a no-no.
Shoujo, Shoujo-ai, Yaoi, and Shounen-ai are all acceptable.
If possible, please provide me with whatever you can.

*i loved Kon no Ki Konoha too :]
as of suggestions:
you can try SAHARA Mizu's works.but Yumeka Sumomo and Mizu are the exact same person -.-
i suggest Hoshi no Koe,if you haven't read it yet.
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan is great as well.
*if you have read these before sorry -.-
i'll edit if i find or remember similar stories.
Renri no Eda and
Bokura o Tsunaide
gives the feeling i got from Kon no Ki Konoha.plot wise.

I was going to suggest Bitter Virgin, but I'm not sure if you're going to like the drama. But, Liked the series and I have to say, it made me cry buckets of salty water ><
Kingyo Sou - A MUST read.
Mucha Kucha Daisuki
That Summer
Tsuki no Waltz
Wagahai wa Yome de Aru - I'm not sure if it really fits, but it has good points on the cons on marrying young that you can't help but sometimes feel sorry.
Honki de Nakechau Koi

Good taste.
If you liked Kon no Ki Konoha, I suggest you try Midorikawa Yuki's titles. Hotarubi no Mori E for example.
Nakamura Asumiko as well.
KUNIEDA Saika might work.
SHIMURA Takako's titles.
