Well, The manga was shorter than I expected it to be, but in light of the same, the ending was as good as it could have been. What does the rest of MU think?

Make this into a poll!
I think the ending was pretty good, didn't drag out at all; was slightly abrupt but that's basically all endings anyways.
Anyone else think the last page looked nothing like you would assume Hatsuki would look in 10-20 years?

It fit but I would have liked more. It certainly was an ending.

Yeah, that's what teiougaku is... I think.
There's still the MoT novel, wonder if it'll get translated.

Well, according to the internets, Teiougaku means: study of how to be a good emperor; if that helps anyone out, I too am a bit lost as how this relates to the end

it feels tacked on, it threw in a bunch of random stuff that didn't really belong

Apparently, MoT didn't sell well in Japan, so I guess they were pressured into ending it quickly...

Yeah, i heard for those that read it in japan gave it pretty good reviews, but those were few and far in between(either that or just no body cared enough to say we want more!!! or maybe nobody knew about it) But yeah. that was the deciding factor.

Lemme get this straight
So the ending was that the two became a couple, married and living together and the guy wrote a book? Which is the title of this manga?

I suppose the ending kinda fits, king's craft can be thought of grooming someone for a position they were born into (king, emperor, head of an organization). And apparently Orito had a natural talent for grooming (how he was able to make Hatsuki come out of her shell and don the mantle of a leader) so he ended up writing a book about it. Yeah I know it's kinda weak but I think this is what the mangaka was getting at; maybe if he would have had a few more pages it could have been fleshed out better.
