Oh and those two shitheads making territorial pissing comments are just proud with their small achivements (namely to trash this thread with unnecessary comments)
if you don't like this series then leave and shut-up!
if you got a critic and you want to explain of why you dropped it then say it!

Ohhhh, words filled with so much emotion ...
I take it you love this series. You just spoke of people marking terratory and then you go ahead and commit the same sin. Yes...your post was you marking your terratorylaugh

As for me, although I dislike Eba, I still like the manga but its rating has droped alittle for me...
Yes, i like drama but if i really wanted an extreme stock of it. I would go to my local pub car park at closing time and watch peoples problems, or sit down and start watching day time tv like jerry springer.

Why so serious? laugh But... I'll bite.

The first thing that went wrong with the series was the fact that the mangaka reused the same character models over and over in his works. It wouldn't be bad if it's for the sake of crossovers like in CLAMP's works, but it's not. It gives off a feeling that the guy is too lazy to create a new character.

The main character is also very unrealistic... No one would chase after a girl who dumped them to go out with another man. Yeah, I know that she was just doing it to make the other guy happy, but fact is, if naruto turned out to be wrong, he would've looked like a clingy loser who just can't let go (which was what I thought he was until he found out the truth).

Now to the annoying main female lead. Besides the fact that her character model has been reused god knows how many times, she comes off as a cold bitch who is ignorant of other peoples feelings. She goes after naruto, changes his mind about the girl that he loved and then dumps him. When the poor guy came crawling back, she gives him the cold shoulder. If naruto wasn't "lucky" enough to befriend her "boyfriend", I doubt he would've ever known the real reason why he got rejected.

This manga is supposed to be realistic, however, the coincidences are too convenient for it to be so. It wouldn't be so bad if it's one of those stereotypical romantic comedies since those are not supposed to be realistic, but this is a drama set in the modern world. Add this with the frustrating characters and the lack of creativity by the author (how different is this from suzuka?), this manga is far from good.

To me, this series is like burger king.
The food is far from good, but I like it somehow. It's just, after having two or three bites I start feeling sick. But I still come back every so often for those few bites.

But ontopic here, I leave for 5 weeks and finally we get some progress.
Didn't see Kazama's death coming though.
I expect Haruto to really focus on cooking and getting his own restaurant, which he will name Kazama. (predicition for the epilogue)
Relationship wise, I think him getting with Yuzuki is completely impossible now. So the popularity contest might really decide what direction this thing is gonna take. Chances of Shiho winning are pretty much nill though, which is a shame.
If, dispite everything, Kouji still continues with Yuzuki as main, he's got a rough task ahead of him.
It's gonna be real hard to get Haruto and Yuzuki together without making it feel forced.

For once I agree with Eba.
They shouldn't see each other anymore.

Good call Eba. Good call.

But what will happen to this manga then?
If they decide not to see each other again, and Haruto agrees, where will all the soap opera drama go? That's pretty much the only thing this manga has to offer right now.

On a different not, am I the only one who thinks Kazama's death was bullshit?
The surgery was a success but he was unable to recover from it? It's not like he was a 50 year old dude, he was 17 or something. And in pretty decent shape too and he didn't seem physically weakened much by his illness. What are the chances of someone like that dying after an operation?
They didn't mention the type of operation and illness though. But I can't imagine what. If it was a heart thing, I find it unlikely he would have been able to live the way he did. Cancer is out and liver illness seems unlikely too.
Maybe there's a med student reading this somewhere who has an idea on the subject.

To me it seems like a circulatory disorder. That would explain the fainting that put him in the hospital in the first place. If they couldn't stop the bleeding post-op because of this disorder, that could explain his untimely death. That could also be why they warned him against the surgery. If your blood doesn't clot properly (which they would obviously know beforehand, hence the warning), you could bleed out in less than a minute.
Just my two cents.

Eba's right. They shouldn't see each other anymore. Very good. She's doing the right thing. If the spoiler I read for chapter 102 is true things are getting better. Too bad it most likely wont last.

At first I thought they are going to make up ridiculously fast, but in the end Eba goes again with the "Maybe we shouldn't see each other anymore" accompanied by an extremely annoying smile. Well, I guess everything is according to plan.
Go Go Shiho-chan (though I don't think it's possiblenone)
Say, am I the only one who think that the art has kinda deteriorated lately?

Good call Eba. Good call.

Quite a surprise to see Eba show some common sense. I wonder if its because she figured out her mistake or if she really was in love with Kazama? I hope the later as that puts her in a bit better light at least. It's good either way that we don't seem to get her making a play for Haruto now.

Like I mentioned over @ Mangafox. If he starts going out w/ another girl and it stays that way, then I'll be okay w/ that. However, I'm not that naive to think that Eba will not show up again and cause unnecessary drama and eventually "steal" Haruto back. roll eyes

That scenario would be somewhat acceptable if Haruto fails with the other girl first and is lonely when Eba shows up.

Nope, the scenario is obvious. Kazama wrote a letter before he died and that letter will eventually get Haruto and Eba back together.
