Hi I don't know if there would be a type of manga like this, but I am looking for a manga where a human beats superhuman/monsters by close to impossible odds against him because of luck, wits, and/or a skill that can be attained with hard work.

now i think about it, mangas kinda like: humans killing strong vampires, random kid happen to to destroy monsters by luck, etc.

biggrin

I think Zetman has what you need.

And I second Gantz.

Shin Angyo Onshi -- That was one of the things that impressed me about this manga.

Thanks everyone for suggestion. Will try out Gantz and Zetman.
And Shin Angyo Onshi, I already read. That manga is probably one of my top ones for me. I realize now why I liked it so much.

Akira will be the one.

Uhh, are you people serious with these suggestions?

Gantz? Even when he doesn't have the suit Kurono has the guns, although without the suit I suppose it sort of fits this thread.

Berserk? Guts is even more superhuman than the monsters he kills. He is supposedly a normal human but we all know that's bull. He was already really, really bad-ass even without the berserker armor.

Zetman? The main character has superpowers... so... yeah...

I've only started Shin Angyo Onshi, and have only read half of Akira, but I suppose they fit. If anyone knows of some other good ones, I'd also like to know.

Just thought of this I think Claymore fits. Also if you actually care to see it there is some Star Trek episodes that are human vs. superhuman. Also the second movie of Star Trek. Star Trek The Wrath of Khan. Also Blade Runner would fit the bill.

Who ever said I was talking about Jin? I was referring to Kouga.

And tons of people who had the Gantz suit were killed anyway. The ones who didn't get killed survived because of luck, wits, and a skill that was obtained through hard work.

I would also suggest Berserk if you have the stomach for it.
As extr3m said the protagonist is at a whole other level above most humans, but he is still essentially a human with human limits and the struggle against insurmountable odds is a core theme of the series.
