Both very thin and very fat people have their disadvantages.
Both also have different problems caused by being in the extreme category of both.

There are people who like those extremes, me not being one of them.
I will not answer this poll's question, because I just can't.

Is it wrong to prefer something in between?
I see nothing wrong with "a little extra weight" or "a bit skinny".

Of course, you can't live by your ideal of beauty, either.
And a superficial ideal might not be that good of a match by personality. Or they might.
I don't know. Every person is different.
Also, everyone has their own idea of what fat and thin mean.

Had a skinny boyfriend once. Like really really thin...
He was hard into martial arts, and used to practice them on me quite often when we were together.
Never actually dated an overly fat person, but I've met some with nasty character~ No chubby teddy bears there~

Well, for me, since I like to cuddle and hugs and whatnot, I prefer those with meat on their bones.

using the word thin kind of reminds me someone who has an eating disorder. so i'll date someone who's slim.
using the word fat reminds me of a guy who just eats potato chips in his couch and watch TV e.O so i'll date a healthy/chubby guy..
so i'm saying,i'll date both.i don't really care..

Quote from Identity Crisis
Really thin people are disgusting.

Really overweight people are in the same league.

But, as I am fat myself, I have no room to talk.

I don't care, generally, as long as its not at one extreme or the other.

we have a winner~

I think this.
but if i had to chose between a girl that is slightly under and a girl that is slightly over, I'd pick the slightly over.

To me:
thin = anorexic-looking
fat = overweight, obese

I can't find either attractive, sorry. They both probably need to do something to make them look more healthy and better. I don't think you chose the proper words for this poll. Yes, what's inside does count. But knowing how to take care of oneself is part of the "what's inside". So I won't vote.

She was pretty vague. What she said sounds like if there are two possible suitors in front of you, one is slimmer than the other, which one you would date. There can be all sorts of possibilities and all sorts of differences between the two.

I think if you find one attractive, you won't use words like fat or thin on them and whether they are fat or thin in other people's eyes doesn't matter at all.

To the newly edited poll: to me slim can be healthy too. Chubby is not the only equivalent of healthy and sometimes is not the case. So I think healthy should be removed.

I agree with base, healthy should be removed.

I would prefer someone not thinner nor too much larger, than myself. Slim is fine, and having a little extra just means that there's more to love. smile

I've gone after both and will continue to do so as long as he and I are compatible.

Yes, but at least get the OP's context. She's a 15-year-old girl (no offense), there's is the sliiiiiiight possiblity that she doesn't know tact yet, which is completely understandable in her case. Your point is moot. I'm pretty sure she didn't mean it in a bad way, since she said what matters is what's on the inside.

Blahblah.

Rantytyrantrantraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant.

Healthy is widely used an euphemism for chubby women.

Lots of explanation, arguments, nonsense.

In the end 15 minutes are spent wasting
my life on something pointless.

... is what I wanted to do, but I'm too
lazy for that. laugh Suit yourself. /edits.

Ever since I saw a Discovery Channel documentary on eating disorders; Anorexia has become one of my biggest biggest fears (Discovery Channel is responsible for a lot of my biggest fears, now that I think about it...). I'd prefer a slim girl, with some healthy meat on her : )

Of course I know that. But in this context, there's another option of slim existing. It would make slim sound like unhealthy, unless healthy is added together with slim too. laugh

I think in this case I will go with chubby.
Now chubby for me means not a perfectly toned body, but at least keeping her female curves. the point where waist and hip sizes come together is a deal breaker.
The reason I will prefer chubby girls is very simple.
I enjoy cooking. so if I date a girl, I will often go out of my way to cook something special for her.
Now slim girls will tend to eat little or complain a bit about calories and shit like that in my experience. stuff like that annoys me, so chubby it is.

There are a lot of healthy and delicious foods. People should pay more attention to nutrients. Calories are out. I think being chubby or slim have more to do with genes and a healthy lifestyle, being active/doing sports, rather than complaining about calories and shit (I mean, doing that would make one slim? Or slim people do that? Don't make sense at all).

There are chubby people who complain about calories and are still chubby. laugh

Any body wants some love. Just that and it has nothing to do with "It's what's inside that counts".
