So, I'm looking for a manga where the characters are in training to do something, and hopefully by the last couple volumes they are doing this thing. EDIT; (Or if its ongoing, that doesn't matter. Just this should be the case if its completed. )

Examples; Candidate for Goddess, Twin Spica (I'll be triply thankful if its about astronauts like this one. I've been wanting to read another one like it), and Skip Beat!. I would prefer more of a schoolish setting then Skip Beat, but that is not required.

Animes are good, too.

Please and thank you.

I suppose by this that it left out all the ongoing manga right?

Good point.

I'll change that. XD

Thanks for the suggestion.

In Hajime no Ippo he's training to be a boxer, but he actually starts before the end of the series, don't know if that counts.

Most of Adachi Mitsuru's work fits, but I especially liked H2 and Cross Game which are both about high school baseball. Both have an anime and H2 was also made into a decent live-action drama a few years ago. Crossgame is currently airing and it's really good! It's the only thing I've watched for the past two seasons.

Beck music; not really a school setting, though. This is also anime.

Crimson Hero Nobara plays high school volleyball
Beauty Pop hair-styling (sounds silly, and it is, but it's fun)
Tennen Pearl Pink acting

If you don't mind more fantasy, Ultra Maniac has a witch in training. The anime and the manga are slightly different in storyline after a point, but they're both decent.

There's also Phantom Dream - the main character is learning how to control his powers as a summoner to banish demons. (not a school setting)

La Corda d'Oro - classical music training
Romance from the Thumb - massage training
Honey Hunt - becoming an actress (not a school setting)
