I cant really remember the name of the manga and my details on the story-synopsis is also very fuzzy but as far as I can remember, it had to do with something like a man from the future comes and his job is to fix the eat memories in the minds of people living in the present but he falls in love with a woman in the present when he tried to change her and now he has to protect her from others memoryeaters of his kind that come from the future and are targetting the woman.
I know that even the summary is itself maybe incorrect but that's the best I can do. So can somebody please help me out?

If it was the reverse (the woman comes from the future and falls in love with the man) I would have said Dna2. I'm just pointing it out since you said that you don't remember it very well, but I doubt it could be it.
Do you remember anything else? Was it a shounen?
