I remember reading this manga/manhwa some time ago. It's about this female professor who knows a LOT about insects.
One particular chapter that really stood out was about some insects in headphones, that nests in human ears, causing them to hear strange sounds/voices.
It may sound like horror, but for some reason, I don't think it was. It was more... like, slice-of-life, seinen, and even a little bit of comedy.
By the way, I'm not talking about Mushishi. This manga is set in the modern world.

I found it! Finally! After scouring the web, I finally found the title (again)!!!
It's called Vector Case File.
Weird, great series.
