umm... just a question coming from a biology student.... how is this supposed to stimulate protein folding in our bodies? I don't really get how this is biologically possible, because from what i read from the first post, it sounds as if you guys are trying to get your bodies to fold proteins faster by using unused CPU data...

If you read carefully, you'll see it says SIMULATE. Not "stimulate". Simulate.

I have heard about it years ago, but never bothered to install. Well, since it doesn't use much power, why not ?

Please tell me that you're joking... Folding@Home is not supposed to calculate anything in YOUR body. Folding@Home uses your computer's processing power to run mathematical calculations to research on how proteins fold. Also, if you didn't understand this fully,...

Downloaded the program, installed completely and my status is stuck at Protein: Loading for several hours now. I do wonder whether there's something wrong or not.
