I'm looking for series about traditional Japanese theater, especially Noh.

I know there's one by the author of Cipher, but it hasn't been translated.

I never saw Nô but I saw Kabuki (more than once). Kabuki works?
Also, what genres of manga do you want?

Backstage Prince is the only one I can think of, but I'm not sure that's what you're really looking for. It's more on the romance and less on the kabuki. That's just what the male lead does.

MANGA:

Signal Red Baby - kabuki + yaoi

Ashita no Ousama - most recent chapters focus on kabuki

Hana Yorimo Hana no Gotoku - noh (untranslated)

Kabukumon - kabuki (untranslated)

Puppet Master Sakon - bunraku puppet theater

Izo's Lover! - mentions noh

Mononoke - Noppera-bō episodes (6-7 of the anime)

Vampire Princess Miyu - influence of noh, puppet theater & kabuki

Inuyasha - episode known as "Terror of the Ancient Noh Mask" (chaps. 23-27 from vol. 3)

Lunatic Red Princess - kabuki

An Untold Fact about Izumo Kunisaki - kabuki

Lastly and most shockingly, there is apparently a hentai kabuki title that I accidentally (I SWEAR) found on this website... Femme Kabuki. eek

LINKS:

Beautiful essay by the mangaka Narita Minako about noh and manga.

And apparently there's this performance of "Manga Ulysses" that incorporates elements of Noh instead of being about Noh, so I'm not sure that's what you're looking for.

A noh play was also based on The Glass Mask.

Interesting essay about traditional theater and manga.

EXTRA:

The anime Spirited Away has a character called Noh-face. smile I love 'im. He's so adorable in a helplessly carnivorous sort of way. <3

Looks like Ashita no Ousama will feature kabuki (or at least kabuki actor) in later volumes.

There are stories involving Noh in Deimos no Hanayome (I forget the volume), Natural (last volume), and C.M.B. (vol 2). But all of them aren't translated into english yet.
