I would say A cheeky angel aka Tenshi no Konamaiki by Hiroyuki Nishimori
you will find romance comedy drama mix in one plate
its so good that in 2001, the manga won the Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen
bear with the artwork and you will find great story inside

MxO- It's about magic but the protagonist got kicked out of his old school after beating an entire group of seniors, and he's ridiculously strong, and smart enough to get by in a magic school without having magic. Also, He becomes crazy about the main girl and goes out of his way to protect her and help her towards her dream. Warning though, it was canceled so the ending was rushed, and there's not even a confession.
Mixim- not sure if this counts, as it's a sort of modern super powered characters story, but one of the three main male characters is a delinquent who is protective of his childhood friend who seems to be a love interest (still to early to tell.)

STOP RECOMMENDING GTO! It's a good manga, that doesn't mean it fits every genre... seriously it's in at least 75% of the "I'm looking for..." responses. |
