In the recent chapter of Bakuman Ashirogi discussed with Miura about doing a child friendly gag manga, do you think that they should do it?
I personally think they should stick with something dark, what do you think?
I think someone should just fire Miura!!

Miura's pretty...inexperienced and too...unrealistic about things.
Personally, I hate gag manga. Dx

I'm kinda seeing, like, a dragon ball or Reborn! thing coming out of this.
you know it starts out comedy but then becomes a huge hit

If it goes gag, thats the path I also think itl go for.
I dont think things will happen as expected however, itl probably get complicated. Still, im sure either way il be interested.
(Btw: why is the title of the manga Bakuman? Any1 know what it means?)

they should never do one...even though they did almost as good with a gag as with a dark one...miura should respect their wishes to write a dark one!!

i think that it would be stupid personally, but thats probably because even though i get the jokes in a gag manga, i dont think that theyre funny.  but the evidence that miura showed it pretty solid. he definitely is inexperienced but great mangas can come out of gag mangas.

i wanted them to do a dark one! even Eiji wants it!!
to be honest i was a lil disappointed that they decided to change to a gag manga just cause Miura wanted it ugghhh
i really want Miura gone. and i wanted Hattori to be their editor again. but with things they are now it doesnt look like that's gonna happen.
though, i'll still leave things open and see how they'll turn out.

i think obata kept miura because if hattori gets to be ashirogi editor, i mean, it'd just be too good to be true XD so i think miura keeps the "amateur" status of ashirogi muto

I think Ashirogi doing a gag is a mistake. I was really hoping that they would convince Miura that they should do something serious. They're much better at that.
Heck, when I saw that Ten and Future Watch were going in Shonen Jump, I was satisfied. As long as Future Watch had better ratings. Of course...
Now, they're definately going to do a gag manga. All I can hope for now, is that it's a good one. But honestly, I doubt it'll be much better than Ten.
I hate the fact they're doing a gag manga. D:
And I don't really like Miura too much either. -.-'

I was kind of disappointed when they decidet to go with gag manga in the end. Maybe that's because I personaly like those "dark" stories better. I also REALLY wanted to see what kind of dark story they would do. Mmm, now, I may be mean, but I want them to drop that gag manga they're going to do. From last chapters, uh, it seems plain and stupid. And not original at all. It's a pity.
But what can we do? TT^TT

perhaps they'll switch back to Dark Stories soon, something is bound to happen!

What somehow bugs me is not the fact that it is a gag manga, but that they want to do something aimed at kids. The story they've made up in chapter 61 doesn't really appeal me. It is so different from what they had done before.
I think there's a huge risk in doing a gag manga. Either they'll have great success or they will completely fail.
I for one prefer deep plots, so Ashirogi, please do a thought through gag manga, if you really will do one now.
