I'm looking for something where the main male protagonists love interest turns out to be really weird or something, not where a weird girl likes him, but something that takes that shounen cliche of guy falling for an extremely cute classmate but twists it a bit. The only problem is, every manga like this I know of the male protagonist ends up with someone else, like the friend that's trying to help him get her or something.

Examples: Toradora- I love Kushieda's personality in the anime because it's so weird, but Ryuuji ends up with Taiga

School Rumble- Harima falls for the strangest girl in the school pretty much, but they don't end up together.

I want something where the protagonist falls for a strange (not necessarily popular like in the above examples) girl, and they actually end up together.

Also no fantasy or sci-fi, I don't mind if theres something non realistic in the plot but I'd prefer the setting to be modern real world, and not something where the female turns out to be an alien or something... though, Onegai Teacher was pretty good...so if it doesn't make a big difference in the plot I don't mind.

I suggest Ai Kora, Super-dreadnought girl 4946, School days(manga and anime). In the first the main protagonist have strange taste of girls taste of girls, in the second in is not clear that the main protagonists will remain together and the last one is just twisted (especially the anime final)
