There's something so captivating about the City of Water, with its time-frozen feel and its winding alleyways that seem to twist and turn on forever.

Or it would be captivating if it wasn't for the ridiculous amount of tourists there.

There aren't any to deal with in manga, though! Are there any manga series that are set in Venice, whether it be historical (like Yami no Alexandra), modern, or futuristic (Aria)?

March Story
While not explicitly set in Italy, the art work suggests it, and one of the stories involves masks which I would associate with Venice carnival (there are also gondolas).

The latest chapters of Gunslinger Girl are set in Venice. There are also some chapters in the middle of story set there. But the manga is set in all Italy, not in Venice, so it's just a FYI.

There are an unholy amount of cheap paperback romances that are set in Venice. Two of the Harlequin ones, Karei naru Kikoushitachi and Jounetsu no Venice, have been made into manga.
