Why is it categorized as mature? I've read like the first 4 volumes, and haven't seen anything mature yet. Maybe I missed something, or it becomes mature later on?

I rated it as mature mostly because later in the series the story is absolutely dramatic and depressing. It still maintains its comedic flavour but the drama is usually intense enough that it becomes really hard to laugh at a simple joke.

Don't forget, quite a lot of bloody scenes too. Good flow though.

one thing is this manga is cursed, swearing, and those religious against languages. So it IS rated mature.

I LOVE this manga xD it is so funny with a shounen plot. I rather think that this manga is so much better than the anime because the anime seems to be more serious than the manga. The story is pretty good since the group have only one goal and that is to go to the North and defeat the mazokus, but i would say i like the parrot xD

You mean Oboe the crow and ex-mazoku general.

I guess its classified as mature cause of the use of "foul" language but apart from that i don't see any other reason. Also i don't find it too depressing later on cause they give u like 3depressing chapters then a good comedic relief chapter.

lmao....i think the parrot will still be yelling "killer, carnivore, fat pig" etc, while being shove down your throat..although that's if you like raw parrots...as a substitute for sushi....omg i sound like a butcher.....

anyway, i really love this manga...its getting pretty mushy feely and stuff right now, but hope it'll regain the comedic composure soon bigrazz

You can always eat a parrot, not so sure about Oboe considering that still has enough energy to kick ass when absolutely necessary.

ADDED:
People need to shut up and stop removing "tragedy" and "mature" from the listing. This series has a lot of tragedy and the bitterness and hatred that some characters expressed qualifies the series as mature, especially when they carry that bitterness with them for half the series.

Late reply but whatever.

There "was" a part of Kestra that loved Pandora. I mean, the time he spent with Pandora as husband and wife involved a great deal of patience on Kestra's part. First, the fact that only Pandora could handle the Box meant that she poses the greatest threat to Kestra's existence. Second, if he were only interested in being able to manipulate the Box, Kestra would've taken both the Box and either of his two children when his Demon commanders went to pick him up. Third, Pandora's existence for most of the series is an object of leverage against Hamel and Sizer. Even when Kestra was released into the world, Pandora's importance became rather negligible. Why the Demon army didn't kill off Pandora is a form of proof that Kestra loved her.

By the way, who edited the summary?

Lol, another late reply wink

I think Kestra couldn't care less about Pandora, before when he seduced her and later after he was revived. That's what makes him so evil. And patience doesn't always come from love and understanding.

And, I guess I'll use spoilers for this
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Kestra goal has always been and will always be power. When his commander's came, they took Sizer to A) To punish Pandora for sealing him
B) Keep her close so she could open the box and C) Make her stronger and most importantly Bass likes to get off on making an angel run around and kill humans. Hamel was left behind because he would have gotten a lot stronger in the human world and he was suppose to be a bitter lil tool after the first couple of years of suffering. And after Kestra reawakens, he keeps Pandora alive to punish her and the children further. Why kill her off quietly, when you can make your half demon son and daughter watch and then go berserk afterwards? Besides that, Pandora was suppose to be his "dessert" so to speak ;D
