Hi all! I want to read a manga in which the main couple finds love through correspondence - like writing letters or making phone calls or chatting online - and where they basically fall in love with each other before ever meeting each other in person. (Or maybe before knowing that they've actually met each other lol.) They must absolutely never have met each other and must only fall in love with each other through correspondence. It's ok if they meet later on after they fall in love, but not before.

Any ideas? smile

Plz note any genre is ok but I prefer shoujo, josei and BL. So plz tell me if you are recommending another genre kthx.

Those stories are cute. Too bad there's so little of them.

Cosplay Animal
The Christmas Eve Couple (yuri)
Koibumi Biyori (I think?) - good read, anyways.
Tonari no 801-chan, ehm, they met
through the internet prior to the story?

BL:

Kibishiku Aishite
Vanilla Star, maybe...

Another lovely request!

The only thing with this theme I've come across is a Mexican webcomic I used to follow. It was about a guy that photoshopped his picture to look like a hot girl and sent it to the guy he liked along with a love confession. Through lots of subsequent chaste im-ing, the love interest falls in love with the photoshop girl. It was pretty good for a webcomic. I'll add the title here once I remember it.

Dengeki Daisy
Poppoya Love Letter

Also, I know this is not a manga, but the first thing that came to mind was the film Il Mare.

Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai

I just read it now and I think it's pretty cute...and a bit depressing at one point, but still worth it.

Quote from daisukidesuyo

There is also another version Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai (TSUZUKI Setsuri)

Happy Happy Letter in Sweet II

and the first story in Setsunai Koi though the ending is very abrupt.

If you don't mind GL, Voiceful might count. More fluffy than romantic, so it's just subtext or something. But it sort of fits...

I remembered it! XD It's called Never Lasting Love and it can be found here: http://nll.smackjeeves.com

Don't get your hopes up too much, though. "Good for a webmanga" really isn't very good at all.
