And none of them start off weak... Argh, I hate when this happens, I can remember a series in detail but not it's name... Does anyone know of the one I'm thinking of: It's a shounen where two regular guys transfer to the same school and coincidentally both decide to redo their image becoming delinquents. But where as one is naturally a good guy the other is undeniably a terrible, amoral person. I can't remember the name but the art isn't the greatest. He has a quite twisted/dark view of things and acts on them, his personality really comes out later on in the series.

ChunChu Vinland Saga Zombie Hunter - got canceled Phantom - Requiem for the Phantom - manga is not translated you'll have to watch anime. Devil 17 - Hokago no Kusenshi Jack Frost - havent really read any of this. Jackals Jiraishin King of Wolves - again havent read but probably fits Seikon no Quasar - I feel its only fair to warn you that this manga is borderline hentai. The anime seems to hold back a bit on the sexual content but there is only one episode subbed so far... and seeing as how the main character draws his power from sucking tits i honestly have no idea where the anime might go lol. Vagabond Few of these characters start out weak and not all of them are inherently evil, but none of them are anywhere near innocent either. ________________ (•_•) Future so bright... At first I thought Joshua, one of the bad guys from Chrono Crusade, would fit the bill, since he starts out in a sick bed but is giving evil powers at the beginning of the series. I guess it doesn't work since he is the villain, not the hero Spoiler (highlight to view) and because Joshua becomes good again once the "evil spell" is taken off of him.
