I'm seriously starting to think I've tried everything out there. I can't find anything new that's good to read, so please help me find a good series to read.

my preferred genres are action, adventure, and comedy (and sometimes historical), and I absolutely can't stand any ecchi, shounen-ai, shojo-ai, or any of that sort of thing.

Romance is okay, but please make it light.

Some of my favorites have been:
One Piece (absolutely loved this)
Beelzebub (hilarious. I almost died from laughing)
karakuri odette (a unique concept and characterization)
knights
letter bee
psyren
superior (an excellent work)
aishiteruze baby (it's romance, but it was good)
Asklepios (I also love talent/skill mangas)
Beauty Pop (absolutely loved this)
Black Cat (absolutely loved this)
Rurouni Kenshin (a bit bloody, but an awesome series)
Fight no akatsuki (sports are also okay)
Hana Kimi
Red River (absolutely loved this, disregarding the perverseness)
Tokyo crazy paradise
violinist of hameln
Fullmetal Alchemist

...so you see, I have a broad range of reads, so please recommend to me the best manga titles that you can offer. Common titles are a no-go, I've probably read it or heard of it.

I look forward to fantastic recommendations! smile

First I must ask you.

You have two of your List made Public, are those the only list of mangas that you have read and are reading? And are those lists complete? (meaning, do they contain all the mangas that you have read and are reading)

Dorohedoro
Basilisk

Just wanted to make a couple shoujo recommendations because our tastes are kind of similar... Kanata Kara, Basara (maybe?), and Power (when you just want to pass the time).

I still highly recommend HunterxHunter--it's a fantastic shounen series (for the first 20 or so volumes anyway). You might have tried all the good shoujo series ever scanlated, but you're missing out on some great shounen. Might I also recommend Yakitate!! Japan? Emma? (I haven't read Bangaihen, but Emma was pretty much like a shoujo.)

I think I might have to disagree with some of revilenigma's recommendations. While they're good series, manga like Freesia and TWIM are too seinen. According to the OP's reading lists, she reads mostly shoujo/romance series.

Replying to Lightmare's question, I'm almost certain that those lists don't have all the ones I read, because I forgot a lot. I only made them recently, you see, so I haven't been able to remember all the ones I've read so far.

Um... I forgot to mention that I don't like mecha-types or realistic art. In other words, I like what I read to have a "manga" feel. If the people look too realistic, for some reason, it repels me. Sorry I didn't mention that before.

Thanks, RIP131 for your long list of reccomendations, but I seem to have read most of them already, or I tried them and didn't like them. I've never heard of very private lesson or Elna Saga...maybe I'll check them out. Shingetsutan Tsukihime...I totally forgot about that one. Thanks for reminding me! The rest I have either read, or thought too ecchi or dark.

Thanks also to AnotherWish for the long list. I'll try Sumomomo Momomo if it doesn't turn out to be too ecchi, and even though I think I've heard of Monster Princess and sugar sugar rune before, maybe I'll give them another shot. Switch Girl!! sounds interesting, thanks. a lot of the ones on your list are on mine as well, and if I forgot to put them on, then my bad. They others are not quite to my taste. Thank you anyway!

i've read them all, Bakarui, but they're good recommendations, since I absolutely loved Basara, HunterxHunter, and Yakitate!! Japan.

Please continue to recommend for me, please!

Berserk is awesome, BUT... we suffer for its super slow pace... why make others suffer as well... I would say to wait until berserk is finally done... but whatever...

I would try out Vagabond. Caught up to it in like 2 sittings. Great story with amazing fights. I also really like Gantz but it is ending soon but its over 300 chapters so it'll keep entertainment for a while.
