yeah...thanks to my bad memory i forgot the name of this manga..
i think it was a shoujo manga which mainly didn't revolve about music, but i'm not absolutley sure.
i remember that there was a girl who had this music box from her dead mother (?). it played chopin's "fantasie impromptu" which was her mother's favourite melody, but this music box was accidently broken by someone and the girl was angry and crying. i think this happend at her home and the person that broke the music box was some older guy with a guardian-like position (he sat down on it ). it may be possible that later on the guy fixed the broken thing for her and put it on the table by the couch...maybe the music box had the form of a little piano..not sure O_o
the only thing i'm absolutley sure about, is the melody this music box played. Chopin- Fantasie Impromptu!
well...i hope anyone of you remembers a manga with such a scene and knows the name^^
thanks for reading and trying to remember

Could it be Tsuki no Waltz? There are some parts of your description that don't match, but the heroine has a music box passed down by her mother.

Odette, thanks for your help, but it's not this one.
The manga i'm looking for, has explicitly mentioned this piece of music by Chopin.
Perhaps anyone knows some more manga where pieces of classical music are named?
