uncureable illnesses
characters who don´t notice the solution
dattebayo-characters
girls with melon-boobs
stupid, useless heroines who always have to be rescued
if you now how the story will go on because it´s written after an easy shema
some tsundere do annoy me

i don't "Drop"..i just don't read it to begin with...)
Description+cover and u can alrdy understand whats it about..=|
Though mostly it's because of the art style,it's something no one can explain...u just simply don't like it,and u can't do anything about it=|

And i don't read Historical, sports and mostly all of the gender-bender(there are exceptions though)

well it could sound interesting in the description, but the story can be utterly terrible

for example the trailers to M. Night Shamalan movies seem awesome, cool graphics and nice description, but it also can be sugar coding, bullshit.

once you start reading and seeing it for yourself you get to decide whether you like it or not
which gives you the option of dropping it

In shoujo: idiot/stupid/wimpy protagonists, the main character is the only girl in the high school... the list goes on. There are many things I don't like about shoujos.

I hate mentally weak female leads. Like the one in Kaikan phrase and shinjo mayu's other heroine leads. Makes you wanna drown them. I dont mind them being soft spoken, kind hearted and etc.. like Nagisa(she's bearable) in Clannad. Just not the ones that are so irritatingly dumb. who ONLY ONLY depends on their boyfriend or whatever, you guys know what I mean.. I swear cos of those kinda heroines, I thought thats how they all were when I started reading my first mangas. It's like you just wanna say to them, So what? You're inlove and so are the rest of the world. Show some pride or dignity.

Next, BAD BAD art. I wont mind it at first, but seeing them gradually improve would do the manga some favor. But if its still bad as it is, I'll put it aside. Can't judge a book by its cover, but sometimes you just cant help it wink.

Useless add of character, adding another "main" character that wouldnt even help with any other characters development or the plotlines.

Ecchis, one look at that genre, I feel like throwing the manga into the fire. MANY MANY ecchis I had read are just nonsensical stories about girls and their panties or something like that.

In the manga world, there many unrealistic stories or characters. But when they get too unrealistic or too overbearing as the story itself. It's too disappointing. Example, Desire Climax. I only decided to read it cos of the five star marking.

Actually, in the end.. I guess I wouldnt mind any kinda stories aslong as I know not to take it seriously from the beginning, itll just be disappointing if i expected a lot for a piece of garbage.

Uber-feminine guys who even act according to insulting feminine stereotypes (yaoi and shounen-ai).
"Bishies" who are forgiven their aggressive and abusive behavior just because they're, like, total dreamboats. *punch wall*

Totally agree with you!

Generic/cliche stories with generic/cliche characters. Unless the mangaka uses the cliche in a way that seems fresh, it just makes it look like the mangaka is too lazy/untalented to try and be somewhat different.

Love Triangle - no I totally hate it. Always makes me feel sorry for the third person and if that person is a complete idiot (so that I don't like him/her) it's too obvious... It doesn't really turn me off, but makes further reading a pain dead

Harems with annoying leads. I used to read any Harem because it's male fantasy fufillment manga, it feeds my desire to have a harem, but... Now I can't stand them, especially indesisive male leads! If I go in for shonen romances now(which I do a lot) I make it a monogamous love or at least a harem with a likeable protag.

Useless, cliche stories that have nothing to say about anything. Manga purely written for fanservice without any deeper meaning or objective. Unrealistic bishie-fests built on stereotypes with shallow, unrealistic characters.

Ugh.

It seems to me guys that u just understand the idea of ecchi manga....
Don't mess it with the real life and how YOU would act in situations like that...it doesn't work that way...and never will(there are some exceptions ofc like Omamori himari...but still not to the point u'd find appealing)
Ofc there is no sex...u want sex - read hentai and stop whining...
Ofc the male leads are weak...it's just a classic of the genre...it's what makes the story develop....
Ofc if u would be on his place u'd screw every single girl u see...but IT'S A MANGA!A Fiction!jesus christ...

The most funny part that i'm pretty sure the ppl who don't like ecchi mangas are girls...About that....It wasn't meant for you...so go read ur yaoi...

Never happened to me...i allways read what i've decided to read...the only thing i dropped was Sundome...after some depressing twist..though it was a long time ago)

And again...STOP messing manga with the real world...

you can go ahead and say its all just the way things are supposed to go in the average manga

but what being innovative is about is thinking outside the box, new ideas and going beyond our expectations

No one is "MIXING" manga with real life, manga itself is supposed to be "MIXING" with real life, thats why we can relate to characters and story lines.

Too many cliches... one or two is ok, but when the whole friggin' manga is filled with it, I just can't read it anymore...

gender bender, mech, sports i hate guys morphing into girls are guys that look to feminine, i'm ok with the tomboyish girl though as long as she doesn't transform into a guy, and cross dressing thats a turn off big time like day of revolution was really kind of stupid to me, it's the first manga i read of that genre and it made me realize i don't care for it. i also hate when they always say i will protect you continuously the person they want to protect always end up dead are nearlly dead usually. mad
