I recently finished Nodame Cantabile and I'm interesting in finding something that has a character that acts indifferent towards someone but actually truly loves them, I liked that Nodame and Chiaki's relationship was subtle. Another example would be Itazura na Kiss, sort of. All though with Nodame Cantabile it's from the point of view of Chiaki who has this girl who just won't leave him alone and hilarity ensues,clearly Nodame is is a colourful and strange person and thus we can almost forgive her relentless pursuit of Chiaki . In Itazura na Kiss it's the other side, we get to see it from the point of view of the girl pursuing a man who doesn't seem to want her. But she doesn't have that oddness to her and it makes you (made me anyway) a little angry (and he only seems to show and interest when he seems like she might give up on him)

All that to say I'd like to find a manga where a character shows indifference towards the person he/she loves but without it coming off in a way that makes you hate them.

I am myself Nodame's fan. Love the positive and passionated view of relationships in the series.
I think u can find this feeling again when u read Kaze Hikaru.
If the love Nodame has toward Chiaki is wierd but cute, the way Sei loves Okita Souji is admirable. Sei love Okita with a pure, passionate heart and a very strong, decisive head.
