I've got question. it is about rumor that in Japan they are making AT? could it be true and how much time do you think it will take for them. Well Japan is one of the most technologicaly advanced country in the world.

Anyway I still try to get how the in wheel motor is working, the best way for me would be to see each part and working. I've read it is more or less for electric cars. Also idea with magnetic motor isn't bad but if we were to put some electronic devices into it, it will be huge problem with magnetic field.

Anyway I don't think that we can make Cushion system strong enough to make you fly. I think reach to High speed and suspention system is nearly enough. if we get this. we can concentrate on making cushion system.

I'ts too bad that in my country is everything so expensive. for example inline skates would take about 20% of my month salary (cheaper one) and they aren't knew in my country. it's just example. Hope to fly. cool

*sigh* we're gullible cuz we really want this to happen.. and everything other's said that would shed the light into this, gave us hope and we want to believe what they said..whether it is true or false..

lol really?

well, better see his entrance.. what IF he return with evidence and prove? then that just made you felt a little guilty inside.. and if he return with nothing, go on ahead and give you foot a little exercise ^ ^

Oh my face would be as red as a tomato if he comes back with proof.
...actually it's if he even comes back at all...

oh and I don't plan on using my foot.
They've been sore since ive been practicing on inlines.

My friend just picked up a brand new wood burner though....

this would be a simple solution for what would be a MEDIUM/LOW SPEED AT.

1. put a 3.5 to 4 inch sole on a shoe

2 i have a size 18 shoe and i measured it so i could fit two TP600053 6000 mAh "Pro Lite" 18.5V LI-poly pack batteries and one TP21005 5 Cell 2100mAh "pro Lite" 18.5V li-polypack battery in the sole.

3. and two TPB205 Thunder Power 2-5 Cell Li-poly Battery Balancers in the sole as well so that the batteries can be recharged in an outlet.

4. you can et a quadline frame attached to any pare of shoes (but YOU NEED to add some ankle support) this frame supports 4 (about100-140mm) wheels

5. for engines you can use two DeWalt 24V Hammerdrill Motors BUT YOU'D HAVE TO MODIFY THE AXEL TO MAKE ROOM FOR THEM!!)

all this would cost 1400 to 1450$ and thats for one highest performance pair.this doesn't count for the price of ANY of the modifications

if u have the cash all of the products mentioned ACCEPT THE 4 INCH SOLE AND THE METAL FOR THE RECOMENDED ANKLE SUPPORT are here

batteries- http://www.hobby-lobby.com/thunderpower.htm
engines- http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/BP389010-00.html
framework and wheels- http://www.skates.com/Transform-into-Quadlines-p/byoqdxxl-blk.h tm

LISTEN I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GET KEVLAR RUBBER WHEELS SO U GOTTA HANDLE THAT.I AM 15 I AM NOT AN ENGINEER, IF THESE WORK I DON'T WANT MONEY JUST SAY THANX AND TELL ME SO I CAN MAKE THEM TOO.

It's been a while since I've been here. The amount of progress that has been made is... ZERO.

It's time to face facts. Nobody can possibly build any skates that have the performance of the FICTIONAL skates from Air Gear. The technology for it just doesn't exist, and it won't exist for a very long time. Nobody is going to be flying over rooftops battling with their "regalia" and experiencing "freedom" with ATs.

Let me put the project specs up and show why it can't be done.

1) Speed of 30-50 mph for a "long" time with a "small" battery.
Electric cars have batteries that typically weigh well over a hundred pounds, and they typically don't go more than 100 mph. A quarter of an electric car's weight can be batteries. How is a 1-2 pound battery going to have enough power to move something nearly 100 times its own weight for any real length of time?

2) An "air cushion" system capable of taking falls from a "descent" height.
A car has huge shocks, yet you can still feel minor imperfections in the road. How are the shocks on skates going to stop a fall from several meters when the shocks can't be more than an inch in size? Try dropping a car from even a quarter of a meter off the ground, and the passengers will heavily feel it.

3) Capability to stop and change direction quickly.
Gears that allow this capability take up space... more space that can easily fit in a shoe. If someone jumped and turned, the gears would suffer damage, or the rider would simply fall over and get injured.

4) Skill to ride such skates.
In Air Gear land, everybody has the skills to do flips and magical grinds for dozens of meters with perfect balance. In reality, people rarely grind more than 2-3 meters, and the people who can have practiced for years; they also don't have to worry about motors screwing up their entry and landing speed. A person using "real" air trecks would basically be standing with no leg movement and pushing a button to make themselves go forward. There will be no parts wars and especially no regalias. Regalia are based off scientific principles blown way out of proportion.

5) Skill and money.
There are engineers who design ways to make bicycles more efficient. The chances of some amateur anime-fan successfully building a system this complex is low. On top of that, few have the extra money to spend on a project like that. Of the people who do have that money, they are generally not willing or too afraid to invest the $1000's of dollars required to build it when they have no proof that the idea is even feasible.

Face it. Air Gear is fiction, and it will stay that way.

WE'RE not trying to make ACTUAL AIR TREKS. just some ok motorized skates.

Completely electric motorized skates already exist.

or you could build them if you want to save a bit less cash lol
laugh

Gonna have to throw a BS flag on you there. I'm in Japan and if they were real I would've seen someone cruising Tokyo somewhere on them.

I dunno, I thought the proof of BS was the single post, impossibility of this AT mumbo jumbo and the reversed conversion between Yen and Dollars.

Not seeing people on them is the last one I'd jump on!
