When it comes to games, I'm probably not good at all. But I game all the time, as long as it doesn't bother anyone. I'm a little hesitant in public games, like MMO's, PVP's and Warcraft's Battle.net, yet I get by nicely. I can master a few games, but I think the games I manage to get good at, doesn't really take skill at all, just a little brain. So, overall, I'd say a 4/10, bellow average.

I think I'm a 8/10.. But the recent years, I've only played RPG's.. So, my shooter, etc.. games skill is a bit rusty..

But when I get the hang of it again, I'm sure I'll be an 8..

yep Tekken 3 was the best psx 3d fighting game, when I was in my 1st year in my senior high school, I played it like 6h every day, even more in weekends.

Near from my school there was a psx store where some fighting fans play there for a match. I can play most char in T3, but mainly
Nina - yea that overpowered, b/d+3,f/u+4,d+4,1,f/d+3 , and yea hayashida step is cool.
Law -counter hit with 4 and then b+2,3,4 you can add DSS+3 in T4 and T5 it's beyond overpower and if the enemy hit wall in T5 you can continue 1,1,1,2,3
Hei - was untouchable in T3 with d+1, very nice damage from f,d,f/d+2~f,d,f/d+1 can't do this anymore in T4 and T5 , Hei's JF wasn't as usefull as other chars

One of my best friend was 3rd time champ in province tourney, he was very good.
I managed to beat him when the T3 era almost gone with ps2 launch. Too bad he didnt want buy ps2, so when T4 came he was no longer a good match for me.

in T4 Jin was really imbalanced, I can get more than 40% win percentage against my twin bro's jin, b~f+2,1,d+2 (hold JF) unblockable easy launcher, a wall game against jin is useless too. Perhaps I can get a win with Lee Chaolan unlimited wall combo XD, and yea Lee's JF is destructive. mist step+2 guaranteed 1,2,4,4(JF)

however I avoid mishima bloodline in T5 they are not good if you can't do the light dash, which is quite difficult to do with controller. so in T5 I tried to play Raven, his sweep okizeme is good, many heavy damaging combo too. I liked how they bring Anna back her high low mix up isn't as good as nina however against people who never faced her before it's quite interesting .

well but now I play mostly GGXX AC, I believe GGXX is much harder to play than tekken because you can't always use the same air juggle against some opponent because their weight counts ^_^", and there is burst to break out combo. I play Testament, Johnny, Jam, Buri, Eddie, Dizzy. Meanwhile my bro play the heavy hitters Sol, Order Sol, Slayer,Baiken,Axl.
Speaking of FRC I can only do it 100% success rate with Testament. But with other char >.< RC came out most the time.

Personally I'd say an 8 or 9... I've always been really good at video games.. and I've had years to get even better.. Though, a lot of people have told me I should get into being a professional gamer.. but, eh.. I play 'em cause I want to and when I feel like playing them.

hmm a 7.5 for first person shooter, im good but only after I have been playing for a few hours or so. When I play live im strictly average im not the lowest on the list but not the highest either. When it comes to RPG games I would say im an 8.8. I love strategy and figuring stuff out im good at it.

I'm wondering why you guys rate for rpgs, it's more like a movie for me than a game, I wouldn't even consider giving myself a score.

@Queen Pervy: if you like strategy, you should play wc3, it's really fun ^_^

for about any game i am about a 6-8 depending on the genre. not god but still can be beaten by plenty of people.

Hehe I can relate. On X-mas couple years back I got so drunk that the guys gave me a ps2 controller put on MK on and made me play them. They were all sober, but I was so drunk my mind was shut down and I couldn't keep my eyes open, so I played with them closed. Guess what? I had to fight them all. One at a time. And won all matches

That's awesome.. we've all played Halo a few times while we were all smashed.. until one of my buddies puked all over the controller.. and then we thought it was best to stop... (and that controller went in the garbage) but, whenever I'm buzzed or drunk.. I tend to play a lot better.. cause I really get into it more for some reason.. I wanna play vs Meta! I love challenges!

True, playing the normal storyline is easy... and more akin of playing a visual novel or something. As long as you do thing right, which isn't even hard, you'll get there... (Even though I know people who get stuck and can't finish some RPGs)
But you have to give people who finish the extra quest, do all that crazy stuff a rating they deserve. I mean... finishing FFIX in less than 12 hours to get Excalibur II requires some kind of insane dedication.. and is also extremely hard. So yeah.. imo you deserve a 10/10 rating in rpg if you can get ALL secrets of ALL RPGs you play.

I'm surprised to see people rating themselves so high on everything....

I'd say I'm about average, so 5/10. I died twice in the first 10 minutes of Resident Evil 4 when all the zombies came out of the village. Was that supposed to be an *introduction* to the game!? I can't finish a Metal Gear game without getting caught by guards, and I have a bad aim when it comes to FPS.
I still love playing though I'm not really the best. I try to collect everything in an RPG, especially if it has the name "Final Fantasy" in it. ^^ I can play well enough to not embarrass myself in DDR, or Percussion Freaks, or Guitar Hero, I like levelling up a lot in MMORPGs, but I'm not so obsessive to be wearing all the god items and earning billions in in-game money, etc...

what team did you used to play in? i'm currently into the pro 1.6 scene but i knew quite a handful of teams back in the day

i think im around 8. might be higher for RPG, Platformer, Fighting but im totally useless in FPS as i get motion sickness and will feel bad for the rest of the day. this is also why i stick as being a sniper in counter strike (yes, i know that's pretty bad but it's better than feeling shit) lol

About a 7/10 all around except for strategy games I'd say I'm a 9/10.

Games I learned with are Super Mario Bros(no numbers the first one, really), Legend of Zelda(stupid blue octopi just won't die) , Final Fantasy 1(learned how to read, hah), Metal Gear Solid(loved sneakin around, and Grey Fox thank you! *bow*)
