Well I'm looking for a manga where it starts out good maybe for only like 1/10 of the series but w/e is fine and then they get into a depressing situation.
I didn't have anything in mind at first but then I thought of Bokura Ga Ita which is a perfect example of what I want.

how about Koizora - starts out pretty cheerful but eventually gets very sad
there's also Sunadokei, which I think gets into a similar kind of heavy mood as Bokura ga Ita

I want either a Nana/Nana ending or a Hachi/Nobu ending. I dont think either will happen so I'm done. She stays with a cheating pig of a man and has his child. Joy. Oh Ren dies? Theres goes the only other pairing I found decent.

thanks for recommendations so far but yeah if you know where to find Sunadokei (Sand Chronicles) please tell please tell me I've looked for it before.

you can read it online at mangafox, just search with "Sand Chronicles" instead of "Sunadokei"
