Hi I was wondering if you could tell me any long(ish) shoujo/josei series (6+ volumes) focusing on university/collage. Or a really good oneshot.
I don’t mind if it the person first goes to high school.
Oh and please don’t give me any recommendations with the heroine being incredibly stupid or totally dependant on guys.

Gokinjo Monogatari follows the strong heroine through fashion designer training (technical school/college I guess, if not university?). Paradise Kiss follow its chars even further, into marriage.

Ashita no Ousama and Mars are unmissable. Strong heroines of university-going age, although uni isn't the focus, like in AnO it's the heroine's script-writing outside of university, but she does attend uni too.

Edit: Must add Kanon and Nodame Cantabile, music universities w/ strong heroines. Dunno if Nodame is "strong" as much as "oblivious," but that's a kind of strength right?

I’ve already read Gokinjo Monogatari, Paradise Kiss, Nodame Cantabile and Mars which I all liked.
I’ll try out the other ones you mentioned.
