Hmm, it doesn't happen often with me, although apparently I do look a few years (2 years) younger than I am. I usually get comments about how I look 16 or so, but I guess that's a good thing. O_O I don't get why people complain for looking young, tsk, tsk, you'll appreciate that when you're older!!

What about you?

(Hope not a similar thread has been made. T.T )

I've been mistaken for someone older and younger than my real age; so, maybe you could add that option Love?

Yeah, people usually get surprised when I tell them my age, like "Really? I thought you were younger!"

I've been mistaken for being 20+ many many times.

I was actually mistaken for a teacher in my school once as well laugh

When I was 16 at a wedding, I was asked by someone sitting on my table "So are you in your final year of Uni? What course are you studying?"
I was like "uhh...I just started my first year of A-Levels..."
She was rather shocked laugh

I'm not sure...
What does it say when men twice my age throw looks at you or
try to start up a conversation...?

It actually depends and varies according to the clothes I wear.

People thought I was my dad's co-worker last summer when I didn't shave my face for three weeks. Maybe it's because of my size and calm personality that people have hard time guessing my age.

Since more then six month back, When i started In a new school in a new city people have mistaken my age alot, infact they think I´m around 24 but defenitly not younger then 22.
While I became 18 in the 10 of Januari it still haven´t changed. And a friend of my father belived my father were 36 and I 24, confused ? 36-34=12.... Someone sees whats seems wrong...?

Some more funny moments when this have happened:
- 8 month ago I wnet with my mother to the supermarket since she needed help with the carrying, and my 1 year younger brother came along as well, and there the three of us runs into an old teacher of me and my brother, and she starts to talk to my mother and my brother about the old days, and then she looks at me and says (since she knew my mother and father had divorced a year back) so this is the new husband then? eek eek eek What!!!
That was quite funny ^^

- A new teacher of mein asked me about my age and I aswered, I´m 17. Then she laughed lightly and then said "no, whats your real age". 17 i said. And she looks at me as if im trying to driving the joke futher. It was funny the first time but not a second, "so what age are you". I take up my wallet kinda, with a light slam I put it on the table with my ID up and says, I´m 17. you should have seen the look on her face. smile wink grin smile wink grin

- A day befor I started in my new school i took stroll around the town to get aquaninted with it, and eventully I arraive at the Church (I just love bulding that have this old fashion Greatness to them) I go in and I start to look around at the arciteture, after a little while someone from the church come forth and asks if she can help me with anythign (shes an old lady) I say that I´m only here to look at the arcitecture since I have great intresst in it. and we start to small talk a little about the church and how it was bulit and what the pictures in hte glas means, and then I mentiod that i was going to attend the school nearby and she just right back, so wich course are you teaching in... laugh and I were starting my first year there, and she wondered what I was gona teach in, after correcting her I didn´t ask how old she thought I were.

yea i'm under 18 but people think im 21+. It's kind of funny when they offer me alchohol and stuff and my parents tell them i'm not old enough. It really helps though because sometimes i'm not ID'ed, but i can at least pull my fake ID off. For now i'd rather look older than i really am, rather than younger, but in the future that will probably change

I don't appear to be on my twenties to most people.
Some don't think I am even legal.
Well, at least it is not as bad as with my sister,
who is assumed to be 10 years younger than she is.

My sisters have the same problem.

The eldest is 30. She tried to buy wine and they wouldn't let her because they didn't believe she was over 21.
The other is 25, and they didn't believe she was over 16 when she tried to buy a lottery ticket laugh

All the time. The only reason why I don't like to be mistaken as younger is because at restaurants they bring me a kids menu. >.< I really think I look my age (18) but apparently I look about from 12-15 in age. My brother and my mom has it worse than me though. My brother is 14 and he looks like and is the same height as a 4th grader (hasn't hit puberty lol) and my mom is 38 and she looks like she's 16. We are always mistaken as her siblings rather than her children. We call it the young curse (Or I do anyway) Now that I think about it, my dad is 38 too and he looks about 25 or so. huh

Older...
(I BLAME YOU OJI-CHAN!~)

One person thought I was 21+ ;__;
It's probably because I'm so mature, right? 8D

EDIT:
Oh, sorry, didn't read the whole post.
IRL it's mixed. Some think I'm a year older than I am. Some think I'm my age. Some think I'm 12. none

I'm 22 years old and I am sometimes mistaken for being older or younger depending on whether I have shaved yet or not. I once had a girl mistake me for a substitute teacher at her school. She thought I was 26. I have also been mistaken for a 19 year old after shaving. So I get mistaken for being older and younger than I really am. Nobody has ever guessed my age dead on. I guess the dark marks under my eyes from years without proper sleep (read: High School) and my shoulder length hair make it hard for people to guess properly, the beard makes it harder.
