Oh boy...does this happen alot. When I was sixteen I was mistaken for a fifth grader! Seriously...how developed are fifth graders today that I look like one. roll eyes A more recent incident was during freshman summer orientation at UT last year I got mistaken for a freshman. I was all like I'm the freaking OA! What makes it worse is that everyone thinks my little sister is older than me. *sigh*

all the time. My school has a uniform so I changed out of mine and went to some store with my friend who was in her uniform, and I was asked if I was her mother. Makes me livid. I was donating to her charity too. Oh, I also get asked out alot by really, incredibly old men. Really old. Like 70. I really just don't understand why people think I'm so old.

....actually though I virtually never get IDed, even when I was 17, and the legal drinking age is 21..... so maybe it's not all bad.....

I'm 17, turning 18 soon and people mistake me for 2-3 younger all the time.. But I like to use that for my advantage. For example I never get asked when I buy a ticket for public transportation, but they just sell me a half-price, which is for kids age 15 and below. laugh

The most extreme time was when I was looking after a bunch of 10-year olds last year and one of the kids thought that I was 12..

Asians look younger (sometimes Koreans are exceptions). My dad (51) looks like he hasnt hit the 50s yet. My mom (46) looks like shes 38. I (15) have been told i look 14, which is pretty good. My brother (17) has been told that he look 13. Yes, i look older than my brother. laugh

People tend to mistake me being older than I am. Doesn't bother me though.

If it wasn't for this beard, I'd look like I'm 16. With the beard. I look like I'm 18.

I'm currently 24 and I'm look like I'm 12 years old or younger.

It's pretty strange when you are older but you look younger than anyone else, isn't it? none

I'm 19 and people mistake me as a 15 year-old kid. A year ago I'd used to get confused as a 12 year old. But I liked the feeling of looking younger. XD

As far as I can remember(which is not much, my memory sucks, so let's say since I was 15) people tend to think I'm a few years older

when I was 15 it was great, people used to think to think I was 18 or so, which was great.

now that I'm 22 it sucks. It really really sucks when someone thinks you're 26 when you're 22 -.- really sucks.

i voted before i read peoples comments, i thought it was about you pausing to think about your own age... when people ask me how old i am i usually have to pause for 2 or 3 seconds to remind myself im 16 ( i really dont pay much attention to peoples age, just their personality, which is why i forget my own age every now and then )

edit: other than that so far i havent had anyone tell me how old they think i look, so i dont really know

edit#2: oh right on the internet people usually think im late teen / young adult...

Well, I did not really elaborate on how or why people think that I'm either younger or older than my real age.

Okay. So, years ago I took a class at the local Junior College to pass jump one of my math classes, and one day I mentioned to the girl next to me that I was a freshman. However, she thought I was a freshman in college... not high school. This might be because I'm as boring as a grumpy old man.

Now, I can't quite remember any specific times when someone thought I was younger; therefore, I will post again when I do.

I've been offered the kids menu at 17. There have been people who've known me for almost a year and still thought I was 15/16.

It depends on the context...
People usually think I'm younger (anywhere from 3-6 years younger) especially when I'm with my family. People somehow think my younger sister (by 3 years) is either older or that we are twins... none . Not surprisingly, people always ask for my ID and take their time checking --- sometimes they ask for multiple pieces. roll eyes .
