This request is very specific i think.
Ok this time im searching for a action shounen/seinen manga where there are characters which are marked to death, think that they are or it is believed that they will die. Important is, it has to be mentioned in the manga (by himself or other characters) and not just that u the reader believe he will die.
He/They doesnt have to die only sacrifice something very important like the ability to fight or play his sports?
It doesnt have to be the protagonist but at least a main character who is close to the protagonist.
The protagonist has to be MALE.
No crappy art
Examples are:
Fairy Tail Erza
D. Gray Man Kanda with the limit of his lifetime (kinda counts as mentioned)
Alive - The Final Evolution Taisuke
cant think of any others
ONLY SEINEN AND SHOUNEN!
At least some vol have to be TRANSLATED

Pandora Hearts - Can't say without spoiling, but many characters are literally marked for death because of the moving seals caused by making contracts with chains.
Nabari no Ou - Yoite, marked for death because of the techinique he uses; not the main character, but receives primary focus.
Those are all I can think of at the moment. They are both "shounen", but they kind of defy genre... so I don't know,

Well i think i know what you mean.
Taking it in consideration i would say:
Battle Royale - Pretty much everybody is marked to death.
Bokurano - The same thing. Except the circumstances are different and not much thought is put into the characters actually thinking about the deaths.
I could also mention Real to some degree, but it's a character that only appears in a few chapters, he indeed had to sacrifice playing sports.
Anyways these were the ones that popped in my mind immediatly after reading your thread, i may know more but don't remember.

In The breaker it is not the main protagonist at least not in the beginning
In Bloody Monday the protagonist (and his friends) is marked to death
In Flames of recca the protagonist is marked by his brother
In Hellsing Alucard is marked by pretty much everyone

Thanks for the recommentions
I(m) already read(ing) The Breaker Bloody Monday Battle Royale and Pandora Hearts.
As for Bokurano, i tried it already but i rather have a constant protagonist than everyone dying. There should be a storyline revolving the protagonist.
Trigun = art sucks(from pics i saw) and cant find it anywhere to read
Nabari no Ou the protagonist is really lazy and lame imo. though the butler is ok but still dont like it
Flame of Recca dont really fit. I dont mean marked to death as like someone says "i will kill you".
But thanks for the suggestions if any more come to ur mind tell me please

Shin Angyo Onshi
I believe Shin Angyo Onshi fits the category, but it may not be apparent from the description or the from the start of the story. You only start to see it come about once you start to learn more about the character.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
We all know he isn't going to die. Or if he is, it won't be because of any silly monsters attracted to him by a brand on his neck.

I read it a while ago, but I'm pretty sure that the more he uses his power, the closer to death he becomes.
