A character acting cool

Member 8:00 pm, Mar 2 2010 Posts: 650	It's difficult to explain what I mean, but I'll do my best I've read many mangas where the protagonist is a wimp who always feels awkward (Like Tsuna from Reborn before he changed) and it made me want a character who is completely opposite - calm ad self-confident - and has a general aura of 'coolness' Any genre is fine, except for ecchi, hentai, smut etc (shounen-ai is acceptable, but no hard yaoi and shoujo-ai please). The character doesn't have to be a protagonist. I'd prefer a bishie, but it's not necessary Some examples: Ouran High School Host Club - Kyouya Kuroshitsuji - Sebastian Vagabond - Takezou/Musashi (there's a flashback from his childhood, where someone, probably his father, pretended to cut him with a sword and he didn't even flinch, that was cool) Shin Angyo Onshi - Munsu Rurouni Kenshin - Kenshin (in his 'serious' mode) ________________ Wasting all my time in another world, in another place

Member 11:52 pm, Mar 2 2010 Posts: 183	shounen: Vinland Saga - more like...cold and withdrawn and later becomes emo [m]Ookami no Monshou[/m] - the werewolf's definitely cool and collected, but a bit arrogant Akumetsu - cool, collected, and smart main character(s) trying to rid Japan of evil humans Gamaran - very powerful/skilled protagonist, it's cool that he tries to take on all these other fighters by himself Ares - three protagonists are all cool and powerful in their own ways Code Breaker - another "fight-against-society's-evil" action manga Superior - only put him down because there are moments when the hero gets serious and that's when he's cool Hatenkou Yugi - read it a while ago but pretty sure that protagonist is a collected, powerful character Drifters - more like...insane Mugen no Juunin - a lot of characters in there are cool, and a lot of them are blood-thirsty swordsmen Burning Hell - the doctor's really cool...but also a psycho Akusaga - cool and evil protagonist shoujo: Kamisama Hajimemashita - Tomoe's cool if not a bit arrogant and blood-thirsty Bonze Love - the head monk (also the protagonist) is evil and cool Akuma de Sourou Bride of the Water God Ingenuo

Dolls - Lots of people here act cool. Whether they really are cool though, remains to be seen. Liar Game - Akiyama, Yokoya and Fukunaga are all cool- most of the time. Pandora Hearts - I'm sure you've already read this one, though. +C: Sword and Cornett - Eco has never once been not-cool. And Belca's 2nd brother has become pretty interesting lately as well. Himitsu - The head of department here is very calm and collected. A*D - I haven't read enough to be a very good judge, though. One Outs Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro - Maybe? Akagi Nabari no Ou - Miharu is always calm. Even though most of his friends describe it as been 'apathy' and not 'coolness'. Taimashin - I dunno about this because it's a little on the mature side. Dr. Taima (the protagonist) is icy-cold - he fits your description pretty well. Elixir Tactics - Kantarou is very sly and devious, but in a nice way. ________________

I was running out of ideas what to read and your suggestions helped me a lot ________________ Wasting all my time in another world, in another place
