Spoiler (highlight to view)
i didn't say it wasnt interesting just a bit rushed like his fight with ringo , the revelation of the gravity children and sora's betrayal all happened in the same volume

yeah but if you look back it feels like this was what he has been building up to since the first volume i mean its not like hes just going off with some random plot twist plus i think oh great would be better suited to writing shoujo rather shounen i say this because he does such a good job every time he writes from the perspective of the females characters its really the best part of tenjho tenge and air gear plus he doesnt cop out with the love stories in his manga's

I like the Manga better than the Anime. The art is more detailed than the anime, but if only they hd a good Animation Director Air Gear Anime would of turned out successful. The Manga has better Art and Story than the Anime. I would definitely choose the Manga over the Anime anytime.

I think we should all settle on the fact that the anime series were crap and it cannot be compared to the manga. They did such a lazy job on Tenjo Tenge I think I could've done better >_>
*watched the whole series because he's a fan......and because he downloaded them >_<*
I'm gonna have to agree with Domonkazu for.....well...look it up yourself smile

I confess that I like the story of Air Gear (and don't find it to be awful), but when I think of what Oh! Great could do with a really great authour, I have to wonder. No, his stories may not be awful (er, from the opinion of someone who has only read that one series), but there is potential for greatness with another authour there.

...The girls are really that great? Ha, guess I wouldn't know. =P

Sigh

Oh Great! is the best proof of "arts and characters building can hide the flaws of the storyline and plot".

That's what topicstarter mean by "Crime for Oh Great to write his own stories." His abilities to fuck up story, muddle plot line, hide or ignore additional details and background are simply amazing.

Dont believe me? From start to finish, the backbone story of AirGear is "Orbital Elevator are reserved for research facility. New advances in Air-gears and bio-science(the Zero-G children) are made. One industrial spy fuck up the facility. The Elevator got abanddoned. Those 0-G children scatter to the world, all make their own way to deal with the past and the future. Some stay in that facility, some nearby. Now they attack each other for reason of their own."

Dear god! to get that much of a back bone he ramble on for vols after vols. And he ignore the founders of the facility: who are they and where they are now. And other important details as well...

Let's not talk about Tenjo Tenge. I shudder to think of the backbone story of that manga.

Dont get me wrong! Oh Great is a magnificient artists, a muddler of first class, a peerless distractor. If not his flawed story wont stand up to the scrutiny of hardcore fanatic manga readers.

Nevertheless, he cant write a story worth a damn.

he'll mention who the founders of facility later. that happen almost in every manga(almost). if you want him to tell everything, better just make 1 vol manga. tell the very end of the story.

once upon the time, there's a boy named ikki. he live with four sister. *after few pages*

ikki became the sky king bl;a bla bla and they all live happily ever after.

even comedy movie like scary movie didn't reveal the real killer until the end of the movie. and you want oh great to tell everything before the end?

{look at the avatar carefully}

Honeybunch! You did count the number of vols of AirGear, yes? Count them again, please! And read my writings again, while you are at it, pretty please! 18 vols are plenty enough to fill in at least a few little side details, let alone plotline.

About 1 vols manga, I suggest you checking out Appleseed of Shirow Masamune. Now that's what I call a storyteller at work!

{ignore honeybunch totally}

Yes, I did wonder what will result of a collaboration between Oh Great and a first class writer/author. Still, it's no use wishing for the moon, or the sky as our playtoy, wasnt it!

But talk about a wonderful combination of story and art, I did a reread of The Ravages of Time . Classic, it really is.

yeah. you win. boo hoo. big deal. just coz you want to know some part of the stories doesn't mean it has to be like you want. OG will tell it , just the matter of time.

oh yeah, about all those mangas/stories/bed time stories you listed, haven't read a damn one. and glad to.

I get what lackongquan is saying. I do feel as if oh! Great didn't fill in the blanks for the manga. But maybe he has not forgotten about it and he may reveal it a bit sooner. Everything is a mystery I don't even know about that old guy who used to be the principle in ikkki's school everybody is mysterious. I like oh1 Great but I was disappointed with Tenge Tengou I watched the anime it sucked, maybe the Manga on the first few vols also. But later going back on TT it grew to my attention I don't know how Nagi had an eyepatch but he look badass with it. Oh! Great cn do a good job, but he does change the story pretty quick if you don't keep up with the story.

Oh Great isn't the best writer I've ever seen, far from it actually. But I've read a lot of different stories (not only including manga) that have been a lot worse.

But, I really do enjoy reading Air Gear and Tenjou Tenge. If it's enjoyable to read, it can't be all that bad. Oh Great does a good job in that he actually has a plotline (I had no idea where the hell naruto was going)

I would say that Oh Great really does have a story line problem. Both Tenjou Tenge and Air Gear are completly losing it. Well, Tenjou Tenge already lost it a long time ago.
BUT:
I don't think anybody reads Oh Great for a story, we just want beautifull art, stupid/funny characters, the greatest Physiks lectures on earth, breasts, some romance.

It's sort of the James Bond of Manga in that sense. Nobody watches James Bond for a story, its all about the guns/spys/boobs/explosions/cool bond one liners/....

Oh Great! = Ecchi.
Oh Great! =/= Story

If you are looking for story, you shouldn't be reading things with lots of ecchi in it in the first place.

'nuff said.

Alas, it's so hard to find a hentai with storyline.

One of reason why SlutGirl was such a big hit among Net hentai groups. It got high level, explosive sex scenes with a kind of background story added in.

Oh Great and Isutoshi are my favorite mangakas for producing such eyecandy.
