right, I've always been interested in this sort of psychological story, where the character has a wild imagination that's not truly happening but it's creepy for them nonetheless and they have trouble telling the difference between fantasy and reality and such.
Oh yeah, I don't want anything hentai/guro/adult(as in R rated, don't mind 17-18 rating)/anything sex-related.
I prefer something along the lines of hidden universes, or creatures that are made up in their head, or they imagined all along that someone close them had done/said/became something and that said person is left bewildered.
Good example would be Hack//Sign as it dealt with this in many chapters and episodes, although it can be light-hearted aswell, like a whimsical one-shot.

Thanks, I'll be waiting biggrin

It's not quite what your looking for... but I still suggest you read Forever Honey and watch À la folie... pas du tout, also know as He Loves Me... He Loves Me Not.

Hagio Moto's Hanshin, maybe.

Definitely Paranoia Star.

Helter Skelter as well.

And you might consider watching these animes: Paranoia Agent, Paprika and Perfect Blue. All have the it's-all-in-their-head thing to varying degrees.

Thanks, whew, I thought I wouldn't even get any replies as it's a very hard subject to find in manga, mostly Anime, movies and books tend to have these storylines.
Even though it might not be completely what I wanted, but thanks, I'm definitely giving each one of them a go.

Also Tartufo - I'm a huge Satoshi Kon fan and he definitely uses this subject well, however I've watched them all, but thanks.

Thanks to Toto aswell for the movie recommendation, never heard of it but I'm guessing it involves the girl being delusional. smile

Try Fatal Attraction the movie. Woman with borderline personality(maybe female psychopathic character? I don't know but fun and scary to watch.) . Too bad the ending wasn't very accurate cos they re-shot it.

I am a Hero might be good.
Even though they don't exactly fit, Majo, Discommunication Seireihen, DOLL: IC in a Doll and K no Souretsu seem okay as well.

Try "Fish Out of Water" from Shuuseki Kairo no Himawari, and "A Strange Gene" from Taiyou no Ichiwaru.
